Looking forward to this one. Potential banana skin, to use a cliche. They're at the bottom of the league but they' tend to lose by the odd goal here and there, rather than being hammered. Of course, one of their two points came against us up there in Brechin after we were two goals up. We're without Danny Mullen today so I wonder if Toddy slots in there or if Carrick gets a start again. I'm looking for a positive response to last week's defeat Carrick, Pittman and Toddy to score in a 3-0 win.

Good win today all be it we didnt play that brilliantly first half and we gave away a sloppy goal but the boys worked hard second half but 3 more points towards safety. 40 points guarentees safety so 19 more to get. 2ND PLACE is fantastic hopefully we get a win against Caley at the weekend however they are still favourites to win the league. But superb start to the season no wonder Dundee Utd are looking at Hopkins. Injuries and suspensions may start to creep into us during the winter months as we have a small squad but every point is a prisoner its imperative we hit the 40 plus mark to ensure safety. Well done Livi.

An important win, after losing last week we needed to bounce back with a win against Brechin and not go two defeats in a row.
A scrappy first half after a fantastic start and then an equaliser from the free kick, looked like we left a big gap not setting our wall up very good. Second half was better and making the HT substitution bringing Mackin on worked out well, he won everything hit up to him. Keaghan also had a good impact, winning the ball down the wing and passing it to Penrice who turned it across to Mackin for our third goal. Really impressed with Penrice too, fantastic work rate and a talented player, will be a big loss going back to Partick Thistle in January.
Disappointing to concede the second from the penalty, the 3-2 scoreline flattered Brechin, but we got the win and that's what matters, and back up to second in the league we go. Mon the Lions.

agree with jonsnow, about Penrice, I think most fans will take the points regardless how we play (we cant seem to play the same as against Dundee United all the time) there will be ups and downs but get the points on the board first, the pretty football can come later (I hope)

Thought we thoroughly deserved the three points, albeit that we made hard work of it. Two sloppy pieces of play for Brechin's goals but we could have scored several more ourselves. Second top at the end of October is so far ahead of expectations. No wonder Dundee Utd are reportedly interested in Hopkin as manager. He's going a fabulous job. Well done to the staff, board and players.

Well done Livi. Looking forward to coming up to the game against Caley, we have started to put a bit of a run together, so this will be a real test against you guys. I've been watching your results and you are where I kinda expected you to be, very impressive. I'm somewhat surprised to see Caley as being favourites to win the league in your eyes...we were pretty phish at the start of the season! I'm hoping to see DH before the match if I can organise it, hopefully he'll sign the Palace shirt I'm gonna bring up. Might ask him if he wants to manage the Palace next season!

Don't know where misdemeanour is getting that ICT are favourites to win the league, they've never been favourite and certainly not now. Utd and St Mirren are sitting favourites just now, ICT are 25/1. Livi are 13/2.

Looking at the SPFL pre season odds, Utd were favourites at 2/1, Falkirk 2nd favourites at 3/1 LOL, and ICT 3rd favourites at 5/1. Livi were way down at 16/1, we've punched well above our weight this season, and Falkirk and ICT have dropped well below theirs.
Having a settled squad and manager has definitely helped, continuity from last season and the confidence our players have from winning the league and having the habit of winning games has also helped. We're having an exciting season and long may it continue.

I'd be mightily surprised if you guys are in the play-offs, yes it's a long season, and injuries and fatigue might have an effect, but you seem to have a good balance and spirit. Obviously need to hang on to the manager.

Did you mean you'd be surprised if we are NOT in the play-offs? Cause the rest of the post suggests that.

Did you mean you'd be surprised if we are NOT in the play-offs? Cause the rest of the post suggests that. Yes...the missing NOT makes all the difference doesn't it. It looks like a close league this year...St Mirren probably the pick of the bunch, Dundee Utd, I guess the 'biggest' team in the league doing OK-ish, Dunfermline have surprised me by starting strongly, in the same way those perenial under-achievers Falkirk have surprised me by having such a bad start to the season. Inverness having turned the corner in recent weeks could well put in a challenge for a play-off place, so could well make it a 5/6 way fight. As much as Livingston may have a small squad this is probably true of Dunfermline as well....so it could be the survival of the fittest for that play-off (or even title) place. Interestingly your goalkeeper Neil Alexander used to be at my other team Crystal Palace...I never saw him play his one game for us though. An even more trival fact is that David Hopkins lends his name to a Palace blogger called HLTCO (Hopkins Looks To Curl One) in difference to his play-off final winning goal. Anyway looking forward to the trip up to visit what looks a tidy ground.... should be a good game

It was some goal fully deserving of the accolade
I think we are punching well above our weight but long may it continue.
I've always had a bit of a soft spot for ICT; except when Hughes was their boss; IMO their introduction to the league was long overdue & I enjoyed the "rivalry" that formed as both teams climbed the league back in the day.
