First of two big games for us this week. With the league being as tight as it is, you could almost call this a bit of a six pointer.
If we win, we push ourselves 9 points away from Falkirk who are one place behind us in the league and we've still got a game in hand over them. Add to that, a win sees us go level on points with 3rd place Dunfermline and we'd still have a game in hand over them too.
I think we can forget about Morton and Partick - likely to be a two way race between those two for the league so catching 3rd and pushing ourselves ahead in there is our realistic target I think.
Only a couple of days rest from Saturday so hopefully any knocks aren't too bad and will be fine for Saturday, Obviously Mango came off so fingers crossed he's fit. See Ross Docherty played for the 19s yesterday so he might be another option for the bench aswell as Talbot if he's nearing match fitness.
Falkirk's our derby so to speak so hopefully a good number of Livi fans make the short journey. Given how close it is, hppefully those working will still be able to make it along.
Don't think Falkirk's pitch is in great nick just now so we'll need maybe need to adapt is a pssing game is going to be a problem with the ball bobbling all over the place.
They just picked up a good win against the Pars, but so did Cowdenbeath before we played them so we've got to go there with some confidence on the back of our display on Saturday and hopefully pick up another three points!
COLTS!

Hard game! Although we've got a reasonably good record against Falkirk since returning to Division 1, I always feel that they can beat us if we're not on top of our game. We'll need to keep the ball away from their lad Lyle Taylor! Either that or just boot him into the air early doors and plead innocence. He clearly knows the route to goal so cutting off the feed to him will be vital! This is a great opporchancity to really kick on in our drive for 3rd position. See you behind the goals. COLTS!

Weatherston back in frame for Falkirk start
Livingston will look to complete a hat-trick of wins over Falkirk and pull level on points with third placed Dunfermline as a result.
Gareth Evans’ side saw off the challenge of Cowdenbeath 3-0 at the weekend, but he said: “Falkirk will take a huge boost at grabbing such a late win in their derby game against Dunfermline so we need to be on our guard from the first whistle.”
Livingston again miss Keaghan Jacobs and Jason Talbot through knee injuries with Ross Docherty out with a groin problem and Marc McNulty requiring to pass a fitness test as he still has hamstring trouble.

Evans hails Lions’ ability to cope without key players
By CALUM LESLIE
LIVINGSTON boss Gareth Evans has hailed the strength in depth of his squad ahead of tonight’s First Division trip to Falkirk.
The West Lothian side beat Cowdenbeath 3-0 on Saturday without striker Marc McNulty and former Hibs coach Evans said it’s a good sign that his team can cope with injuries to first-team regulars.
He said: “We’ll hopefully get [McNulty] back soon, but if we can still score goals when he’s out the team then it’s a good sign. We’ll just try and put in good performances and win as many games as possible and see where that takes us.
“In the first half on Saturday we scored the three goals and I thought we did a professional job in the second half. The crowd would maybe have liked to see more goals but we were delighted with 3-0 after the two previous performances Cowdenbeath had, beating Dunfermline 4-2 and Falkirk 4-1.

FT: Falkirk 2-0 LivingstonIn all seriousness, when are we going to learn to deal with set pieces? Getting caught out far too many times and it costs us a lot of goals. It's so frustrating

Team, fans and stewards were a disgrace tonight supposed to be away fans but yet no noise. Better pick it up against hamilton. I suppose it didn't help that the 175 Livingston fans who did travel were all herded into the end of the main stand, or that it was a pretty abject performance on the field. The only real noise I heard from our fans was the constant moaning about when we had possession, I'm guessing some folk prefer we hoof it up and more likely than not lose possession? Our lack of attacking depth really shone through tonight for me. Russell played well but Morton had a bit of a stinker - he wasn't the only one though. Here's hoping we kick on against Hamilton, third place is still there and we do have the quality to get it.

Falkirk impress in Livingston victory
Lyle Taylor reached his quarter century of goals during Falkirk’s impressive 2-0 win over Livingston.
A confident performance from the Bairns sent a poor crowd of just over two and a half thousand home happy.
Although Livingston wee a poor reflection of the sides that have dominated the Bairns in each of the two meetings prior, Falkirk were well worthy of a win.

Lyle Taylor at the double
LYLE Taylor improved his already remarkable goalscoring ratio with a brace as Falkirk eased to a comfortable victory over Livingston.
The Englishman – taking his tally for the season to 25 goals in only 30 appearances – headed home either side of the half-time break.
Steven Pressley’s Bairns ended a three-game barren sequence against the West Lothian outfit with a victory that left them – albeit having played one more match – only three points behind the fifth-placed Lions.
For Livingston, this game had been crucial to their fading hopes of reaching the table’s summit come May. The Falkirk groundsman tried to make up for the lack of grass by laying tonnes of sands across the pitch. It certainly did not have any aesthetic value but both teams, to their credit, tried to remain true to their footballing principles.

Really poor last night. Was always going to be a tough game but I expected us to offer a bit more. Beanie tried to twist and turn some openings but we just didn't look threatening at all going forward.
Disappointing that it's another two goals from set pieces. We didn't defend too badly other than that so it's something we've really got to work on as it's costing us points.
You can often afford to have one or two players off the boil but last niggt, there were far too many who hadn't turned up and we didn't deserve anything from the game.
Need to get knuckled down and focus on Saturday now. A slip up there could see Falkirk catch us and we'll drop back down the table.

It was nothing to do with where we were sitting they make no noise anyway and when you are getting told to shutup by your own fans and sit down by the stewards at an away game is just pathetic none of the DBM were there. Type in on youtube holmesdale fanatics (crystal palace) this is what fans should be like and england have the same laws as us so it shouldnt be a problem

Ah but there's singing and there's singing. A tuneful ditty is good and might even encourage others to join in, If they don't then carry on anyway. On the other hand, an expletive filled tirade of angry tuneless 'songs' that just annoys anyone within earshot and attracts the attention of the authorities isn't so good.

To be honest we never got that far it was the first 5 minutes and the worst thing that was said was calling pressley a w@nker and everybody wasthinking that anyway nothing racist, homophobic, sectarian or offensive was sang . Others were songs that the DBM sing everyweek either way it ruined something we were looking forward to for about a week

Do you get a refund, or an apology from the players for that?
Managed to sneak in on the Groupon deal for 2 for 18 from the original game, and if it wasn't for that i wouldn't have went.
Livingston offered next to nothing going forward, Jesus made it easy for Taylor to turn him, McCann shouldn't really pass as a footballer, and any team that plays 1 up top deserves to get beat. It was so slow paced, and boring, i did nearly fall asleep in my seat. That game summed up Scottish football for me, in a nutshell.
I'll give it another bash before the end of the season ago, but there is no creative spark, or any urgency atall. It summed up overpriced for me, even at the reduced rate!
The cold was the best bit about it, and no one likes the cold.

Hack - It's not my (or any other fans) job to make excuses for a poor performance, so I'm not going to. On the face of it, there are none anyway. The disappointing thing for fans, especially for those who go regularly, is that just isn't how Livi have been playing at all this season. We were turned over good style at East End Park earlier this season (which wasn't pretty) but Tuesday night was a bigger disappointment for me because I absolutely know that every single player can put in a better shift than that with their eyes shut. I can't explain it other than to shrug and say "one of they days". You're never going to see as many goals as you're used to when you go to watch a game of air hockey or get the same thrills and spills as when you go to watch the stock cubes but at least you want your team compete as you know they can. At least there's another game on Saturday to put the Falkirk game behind us quickly. Of course I want the win but if we at least play to our capabilities and give them a game then I'll accept the result whatever it may be.
