Hi I support both Crystal Palace and Inverness Caley Thistle... although I live in South London, I do manage to get up to Scotland for the odd game, both home and away, depending on what Palace are doing....With Caley Thistle heading down to the championship I have been looking at interesting away days reachable by airport. With you guys successful promotion I have high hopes of getting up to your stadium, which looks pretty tidy. One factor for me doing so is your manager David Hopkins, who I guess many will know played for Crystal Palace. Well this week is the 20th anniversary of our successful play-off final against Sheffield United in which David scored the winning goal, if you've not seen it you can see it here www.facebook.com/officialcpfc/videos/10155334344650762/Having lost in the play-off final the year before in the last minute, this was true redemption and elevated DH to cult status...there is even a Palace blog 'HLTCO' (Hopkin Looking To Curl One) that reflects that great day. I remember DH as a very decent player and that we were lucky to sign him from Chelsea. Hopefully if I can get up for a game, I'll bring up a Palace shirt and see if DH will sign it for me. In the meantime congratulations on your promotion, next season looks like it could be quite a competitive one in the Championship with you guys, St Mirren, Falkirk, Dundee Utd (if they don't beat Hamilton tomorrow) and possible ICT (if we can sort ourselves out) all with a shout of doing something decent. BTW if your wondering how a South London lad born and bred also supports ICT...just look at the team colours for both my teams!

Greenbin - you'd be very welcome to come to a Livi game. You'd be shown great hospitality by Livi fans so just let us know when you're in town. David Hopkin has done a great job this season, galvanising the team and strengthening the squad. We've got the vast majority of the squad in place for next season already, which is very unusual for us. As supporters, we know it'll be a tough league and avoiding relegation is our Orinoco pal aim. Let us know when you plan to visit and we'll show you around the place. Cheers! š

I hope we pump ICT every time we play them!
There used to be a fantastic rivalry between the teams (look out for Livi 4-3 Inverness CT on YouTube), but unfortunately that's faded somewhat as we've rarely been in the same league for a decade or more.
You're more than welcome for a pint in the stadium bar before the games - no worry about getting hassled, the rivalry was never that way inclined - and do make sure you contact the club to try to arrange a meet with DH to get your top signed. š .

Just got back from a holiday....Just want to say well done Livi. I guess you guys must be on Cloud 9. I was following the 2nd leg against Partick via BBC text in Majorca, sounds like you were pretty much in control....the job was mostly done at your place coming back to win from a goal down. Next season will be 'fun', but as long as everyone is realistic, I see no reason why Livingston can't stay up.
Caley Thistle staged a late surge to just miss out on the play-off, but we seem to have recovered from going down, and now have the fun of Ross County joining us. I came up in November to watch Caley play at your place and got to meet Hoppy in his office before the game...a true gent.
As for my other team...well despite giving everyone else a 7 game start, we stayed up with some style...it was quite a roller-coaster though and I didn't always enjoy the season, but next season shows quite some promise.
Anyway good luck for next season, I shall be looking for your results with some interest and hopefully see a game or two on TV. (and hope to see you live again with Caley the season after next...in the big boys league)

Cheers Greenbin; it has been some journey for us. I must admit I feared the worst for Palace after their horrendous start & thought Hodgson was the wrong choice... mind you I thought Hoppy was wrong for us at the start as well... shows how much I know. All the best for next season & Iād be happy for Caley to follow us up... again.

I thought the same about Hodgson, and was gutted when Frank de Boer was sacked, but I was wrong too, and in the end Palace were playing 'sexy Dutch football' under Roy with no recognised Centre Forward, overlapping full backs, patient 'pashing. pashing, pashing' out from the back and around the midfield, exactly as FdB wanted to play.
Interesting that Jack Ross seems to be about to leave St Mirren (in the lurch)....I hope that doesn't happen to you with Hoppy this summer (don't think it will), although I hope maybe one day we will see him at Palace again.
