SAVE THE DATE!
We'll be having a joint Player of the Year and Racenight Fundraiser evening on Saturday 10th September 2016 in the Ferranti Suite at Livi Stadium from 7.30pm until 12pm.
I'll very shortly have more details for the night - tickets/votes/sponsors/raffles etc.
In the meantime, begin to spread the word and make sure you're all free on the night.

OK boys - now that the committee nominations and POTY votes are out of the way, we can start to get things moving on this.
So, Saturday 10th September - some day lined up.
Alloa Ath SFC vs GS in the morning. On to the pub to watch Man Utd vs Man City and Celtic vs Rangers at 12.30pm. Along to Alloa vs Livingston in the big game of the day. Home for Liverpool vs Leicester at 5.30pm. Then, the main event, the GS POTY/Racenighta at the Stadium at 7.30pm.
The racenight will take place in the Ferranti Suite (upstairs) at Livi stadium from 7.30pm until midnight.
Tickets will be £5 and this gets you a horse in one of the 8 races on the night.
There will be no buffet on the night but there will be crisps, nuts and such like on the tables.
We also need 9 race sponsors on the evening. I have 3 sorted already (and I'm still working on more) but if you guys know anyone/companies who may be interested, please do what you can. All the sponsor has to provide is a prize for the race winner - usually a bottle of spirits/voucher and in return they get name checked on social media and on the programme for the evening.
We have space for 70/80 on the evening so please do what you can to get people along. Like I say, tickets are only £5 so spread the word.
We'll be needing raffle prizes on the night too so plenty time for you all to get something sorted for that.
Please start to get in touch with me with ticket requests ASAP. Don't need to pay straight away but if you can get in touch to let me know you need a ticket (and if you need anymore), that would be great. Remember to let me know the full name of anyone you've got coming along too.
Get the names in lads.

I have a list of companies that gave me raffle prizes when I was fundraising for my marathon if someone wants to take shot at sending a few e-mails out to them. I'd do it but it's been less than 6 months since I tapped them for free stuff. I should have all the raffle tickets kicking about if we don't have them.
I've also got a few buckets kicking about if we want to use them, not sure if that's something we want to be doing but when I had a night at my work I just dumped them on the bar and people put their change in to them.
I can also pick up a couple of cases of beer/cider from the company shop for free that we can raffle off, when I did mine we just made bags of 3 or 4 and then raffled them off that way. I've put a list of what I can get below so if someone wants to pick a couple of brands I'll pick them up next time I'm through:

Cal - get whatever you can mate. A mix of beer/cider/fruit cider would be best I should imagine.
I'll be taking 2 tickets and will let you know if I require any more.

Unavailable to attend this I'm afraid, got an assignment due for work which i'll need to do over that weekend with me being away in Crete just now. Happy to purchase 2 tickets (as i would have done anyway) and put a raffle prize up for grabs though. Will sort that out when i'm back.

Quick update boys.
All 9 races now sponsored. 70+ tickets sold/requested. Trophies ready.
Still space for around 10 more so keep the names coming for tickets.
A great chance for us all to get together and make a bit of money for ourselves at the same time.
We've got some fees coming up - pitch registration, Scottish Cup entry fee so the money raised will help cover those for starters. We'd spoken recently about new tracksuits so this would covr those too. Also, with us in the hat for the next round of the British Cup, we have an away tie on the cards so this may also help us cover travel costs for that.
Remember, we'll need raffle prizes for the night too so get on the scrounge for those or, failing that, make sure you pick something up to bring along with you.
