Please change the title of the thread. We need everyone to go to games and not miss out due to misunderstanding about the date. We need all the help we can get. Thanks!

Take your choice? I noticed that tweet too, it's Tuesday night 7.45pm kick off on the SPFL website and the SFA ref appointments website so I think i'll go with that. Looking forward to this game, I think there will only be one goal in it and Ayr will be difficult to break down, 2-1 Livi would do me. Mon the Lions. www

I can't believe that Ayr Utd are in a league above us. Are they part time? I think we should want to pump them but will have to play better than we did against Edinburgh City last time out in the cup. Not sure we will tho.

FT: Livi 0-2 Ayr Utd.
Far be it for me to say, as I wasn't there tonight, buy our season to date has been a bit grim has it not. Even our one win against Edinburgh City was an ugly affair.
What's going wrong? What's needed to give us a boost?

First half last night was decent from Livi, we passed it around well and closed them down forcing mistakes to regain possession, but again got punished for allowing a player time and space to have a shot at goal from distance. We really need to get that sorted, we're losing too many goals from those kinds of shots.
Second half we lost our way and didn't press Ayr enough, they got back into the game and were happy to fall down every 5 minutes to try and get fouls, or trip, grab and hold onto our players, then pick up the ball and wander away with it when we got a foul, generally break up the play to stop us getting any flow to our game. In that respect Ayr were a lot more experienced than us. They were more clinical with their shots on goal too, I don't know what it is when teams play us but they seem to hit the top corner with nearly every shot they have on our goal, Kelly got his finger tips to another one and put it onto the woodwork or they'd have had a second wonder strike.
I'm prepared to wait until we've played a few league games before I judge Hopkin and our team, apart from Edin City all our games have been against teams in higher leagues. We've got some nice ball players in the team and even in games against St Johnstone, St Mirren and Morton, we've more than held our own, first half against Ayr we looked the better team too but went flat 2nd half, still, we've shown some nice passages of play in midfield and if we work on stopping players getting time to line up shots from 20 odd yards we'd be decent enough in defence.

Cadden and Mullin on the wings have been good, imo they're where our goal threat comes from, our set pieces have looked a lot better this season too. I like Halkett, and Longridge will be a decent player in League One. Quite liked the look of Watt but he isn't getting starts just now, looks quite skilful and scored a few goals in League One last season. Sinclair is another midfielder that I like the look of.
Lithgow and Crighton have surprised me as I read a lot from Airdrie fans saying they'd be useless, they're looking like a decent enough CB pairing.

Agree with most of the above - I also think Miller has been pretty consistent, Watt looked a little slow against Hartlepool but as you say he has done the business before. Biggest issue from Tues was how often Buchanan was sitting too deep. We still need to challenge /put opposition under pressure when they're on the ball - Ayr's 1st goal came from us standing off, also this opting to play back /across the park is starting to creep in too often. Early days but at least we are looking a bit better than last season and hopefully Hopkins will not fxxx it up with his poor tactics / decisions.

Mullin is a liability. If anyone has been impressed with Longridge, im amazed. If only we had a left back that is a little bit decent, would be good.
