Reckon this mob must know what they're doing as their list of existing clients is quite impressive! On the football side of things they serve Tynecastle and I've heard that the hospitality at Hearts is top notch, if a bit pricey. Food Creations were no slouch either and as mentioned elsewhere the meal at the recent Livi FC Burns Supper was excellent, with the beef simply awesome. Good luck to Food Creations in their new ventures and welcome to Saltire Hospitality! Does that mean you can now get IRN-BRU at the pie stalls? ;D

Good luck to Simon, been great and he's a top notch guy, an"insider" :-) admits Saltire are no mugs so hopefully a good deal for Livi.

Imagine the contract with FC was up so the club would have been open to offers to take it on. Can only assume the Saltire deal was more appealing/cheaper/better VFM than the FC one?

I don't know what all the fuss is about. I mean, anyone can butter a sannie and throw a bit of cold meat and mustard on it, no?
Anyway, I remember this one time when I catered for a small family get-to-gether.
I used up three loafs and every single plate in the house. But how was I to know that strawberry jam sannies and LIDL brand kit-kats were not the done thing at a wake? My mum was not best pleased. 100% fact!

Had food in the Almondvale Suite on Saturday and it was just as good as before. I went for the curry and rice - didn't have naan bread which the old lot did but the curry was still good.
The folk serving were full of banter and were helpful enough so on first sampling, a happy customer here.
They didn't have any macaroni which was a big seller before but the 'top dog' looking guy said they didn't know that macaroni was as popular and will look to have that added in for future games.
Anyone else try anything? The steak pie looked good an'aw but I fancied the curry.

I had some food in the Platinum Club & it as good as before & a slightly different choice. The quote from the boy as we walked into the room was 'one pie each make sure you leave one for yer pal' I dinnae have any pals in there Needless to say there was plenty of pies left when I was walking out for second half. They even poured our coffee for us. There did seem like there was more staff than usual not sure if that was a one of or that's the norm now. Overall it was good.

I tried the chicken curry in the AS before the game. Plenty chicken, quite fruity, good sized portion and loads of rice. No nan though. Up 50p to £5.50 but still reckon that's reasonable. AS was chockers for first time in a while. Good to see. Was good to see video of last weeks Dumbarton game. Going to be regular LIVItv highlights video's before home games from now on.

I see from the OS that Saltire think we want to pay £6.50 for macaroni. It was £3.00 previously and £3.50 if you wanted chips with it. Don't think we will be using the facility. These prices are just too much, especially when a steak pie is only £2.50.
Or is it an error.
Phoned the club to ask and they confirmed it was the price that Saltire had quoted.
Sorry Saltire. You may just be finding your feet, but to double the price is just not acceptable. Surely some homework was done to establish what was on offer from Food Creations.
Tea and Coffee have also nearly doubled in price.

Surely it comes down to value for money, and you can't assess that if you haven't tried it? I don't think £6.50 for a plate of food is outrageous, provided it's tasty enough. It could be better macaroni cheese than the previous company's served up!

I didn't get the Macaroni Cheese (n chips) today but I think the advertised price was an unfortunate typo and should have been £5.50 instead. I again plumped for the Chicken Curry and again it was perfectly fine. Plenty of chicken Curry and rather than rice I asked for Chips, and the nice lady gied me loads. I would say that it isn't exactly cheap but on the other hand it's not exactly expensive either. If something is mibbe 50p more than I think it should be then I'm not going to go hungry for the sake of a measly ten bob. It's decent grub and at prices within a fairly reasonable bracket. If you want to know what getting robbed is all about then try visiting a pie stall/servery at Almondvale with less than a tenner! Ho ho, good luck with that!

I guess the issue is the price jump almost overnight. I always thought the club tried to keep the prices down to encourage people to go there. If beer is cheaper at the centre some cases by 90p a pint and food is there or there abouts you know in the long term where people will end up - it will just be a matter of time. I paid £1.25 for a dash of blackcurrent & water - The lassie said it with a straight face as well. I won't be making that mistake again!! Quality is fine, but How much quality is needed in some macaroni n cheese?

£3.80 for two waters at the serveries!, used to get water free, now it's sold at 100s% profit, luckily I buy the pies from stephens bakery within scotmid at polbeth, might give the suite a try..is it the same deal as previous, they get the profits and run all functions?

Macaroni was £3.50 without chips. Having already described the overall prices as within a reasonable price range (not cheap but not too expensive) I'll add that the small bowl of MnC for £3.50 was bordering on criminal. That particular price has not been thought through at all. Worth a pound tops.

I stopped by and had the curry. It was probably not as spicy as I would like it to be, but there were huge chunks of chicken in it and I thought it was good value at £5.50.

I paid £1.25 for a dash of blackcurrent & water I paid £0.60 for the same drink in a international hotel chain tonight. Even at that price they're making good margin!
