Cannot believe the amount of negativity. As I just said on another comment this is the core of the problem. People on here some actually would love the club to fold, they love hiding behind there wee desk tops despising the club, with hatred comments, going over old ground time and time again. For the record I am not whiter than white I too have posted here negative comments, mainly out of frustration never hatred. You mention "convicted drug dealer",can this person who has to carry this over his shoulder for the rest of his days not be rehabilitated into society? I in my past have had many runs with courts over the years, I have suffered (quite rightly) for the acts committed but I have to live I have to survive I need to make ends meet for my family, and I will do that in what ever shape or form (legally). My point is yes he may well be, but so what? We know what he is so what difference is it making? Do not here any of you with any balls shouting the odds at any home games, I am quite sure if it was in issue the comments would have been flying around the stand. Look, the club is not perfect, as I said I have posted comments here before that were not positive, however we all need to have some Positivity belief, and backing is what we need, all of us. We can forget about what has gone on in the past, we cannot change that, what we can change is the future. I'm not asking or stating we throw heavy monies at the club, but we need to back this regime, like it or not. If you don`t, then stay clear of the club. All of need more than ever to back this club. We can make a difference but we need to believe we can, we need to show support, and we need to change out thought process (me included) May I also add I have also approached the club committed my own personal time to assist in all marketing / sponsorship support, knocking on doors, going round business in West Lothian beating the Livingston Football Club drum, I will do (as my own business is a marketing support company) at no cost and as many hours as it takes to bring in revenue should my proposal be accepted. But out with me we can all do our bit, get behind the club, start turning up for games, do our bit put any life skills we have even for a few hours a week into the club. Sorry, still not dancing on the streets of Livingston on this news. i don't currently trust any one of the current board or committee running the club. They all need to bolt, but won't given how they have been running the place. Livi FC & transparency just can't go in the same sentence. As for our coach, assistant manager the way he go to where he is is just all wrong for a community club again total and utter lack of transparency what is he the coach or assistant manager.

More to the point, why has the club not announced the appointment of Hoppy's assistant regardless of is past? What are Martindales coaching credentials? Is he a paid employee or did 'he' pay to be parachuted into the dugout? No idea... Maybe he has all his badges... Maybe he is single handedly keeping the club afloat with his alleged drug dealing money... Maybe he is on probation after good behaviour and is performing community service...

I am in the same boat as livijimbo. I can't get behind this current board, because there's absolutely no transparency and little regard for the actual supporters of the club.
I also seriously doubt that David Martindale is at this club based purely on his footballing pedigree; given the suspicious lack of information regarding his initial arrival at the club and more importantly, his apparent promotion to assistant manager, I'll view his role with some trepidation. Absolutely, people who have served time deserve to be reintegrated into society through work; but given the severity of his sentence, not to mention Gallagher earlier in the season, a football club with a PR history as awful as ours is not the place to complete rehabilitation, full stop. If he's putting money in, then fine and dandy, that's his own choice. As a fan, I'd be more concerned as to why, given that we've apparently stripped back everything and are running the smallest FT budget in the country, are we still needing external funding to make ends meet?
We have a fantastic facility in the shape of the stadium, one that has so often been labelled a burden - it is not being utilised to it's full potential. The club also suffers from a chronic laziness towards advertising in the local community and the ways it does it. The prices for Saturday's game are terrific, but I doubt your average punter in Livingston/WL will hear about it.

See this is the type of crap I was talking about, why don`t you contact that other piece of crap newspaper Daily Record (they hate Livi FC anyway) get them to put a front page spread on how our club is allegedly being funded by Drug money....if you have the ball`s that is as your statement would mean you obviously think that is happening so prove it!!

Wonder what disclosure Scotland would say Probably not very much unless he is involved with vulnerable folk Part 2: If you are that concerned ask the club direct, get them to publish his disclosure, FFS, over and over old ground. We may not like the position he is in, we may not like his past, but we have to accept and live with it for the foreseeable.

Well after that shambles tonight it looks like we'll be playing League One football next season. Not optimistic of a bright future if that happens. It is a severe hit to Livi's finances, possibly a drop of two hundred thousand pounds, or even more.

On Tuesday night I was fortunate enough to have won the Boardroom experience and that gave me the opportunity to ask the questions that so many of you are talking about with regards to the future of Livingston Football Club. May I say first of all for those doom and gloom merchants out there, there is no need to be, we have a bright future, a steady ship and investment coming into the club. Indeed the quality of those on the board or with financial interest and clout is quite overwhelming and the positivity that everyone shares in making the club a success is fantastic.Without saying too much as some of which I learned is not at present for public knowledge the club is here to stay make no bones about that. The future is bright, it may not be orange but it it is Yellow and Black Oh, on the case of us moving...watch this space.... Watchet this space for what?

Us moving, well we're moving to League One next season, don't think that was what he was predicting though.

Everything has gone quiet! Nothing from the club! No intimation about season tickets! No meaningful discussion on the boards! "The end is nigh"

No news certainly doesn't seem like good news where Livi are concerned
One does not suspect that the Boardroom Talks would have lasted more than 24hrs, unless they are weighing up sustainability or pulling the plug?

It would appear the board meeting has been postponed until Saturday.

they'd be as well waiting to find out if they will be travelling to Ayr or Stranraer next season in order to work out the budget
