Must win. Nothing else to say really.
Doesn't matter how we get there, so long as we win.

Agreed. It's time to throw out all the hard luck stories, to bin the referee conspiracies and to roll up our sleeves and snarl and spit our way to 3 points.

I'm assuming that Liam Buchanan will start today in place of Danny Mullen, who hasn't been at his best recently. We have options on the bench too when the game develops, such as Josh Mullin whose crossing was excellent (but we need someone to get on the end of them). Charlie Telfer has really turned it on on the last couple of games when he's been on from the start. He looks fit now and has the potential to be a match winner every game. Looking much stronger defensively, especially with Craig Halkett at right back. He's happy to get up and down the pitch and get crosses in to dangerous areas. Whilst Tuesday's game was possibly the worst I've ever seen, I'd take another grim display of we took the 3 points.

I'm hoping you are right, lets be honest if you sneezed in front of Danny he would fall over. As for the writhing about the deck when he does go down, that is something else. I am also hoping Mr Whyte is relegated to the bench today, he would have had a better game on Tuesday sitting beside me in the stand. But I have had my three days of intense therapy since Tuesday`s game and once again up for this one. 3 points today, St Mirren lose today, we beat St Mirren next week.....happy days. Its not over till its over. I just do not fancy a play off with Peterhead.

What a relief. Great 3 points in a game that we had to win to keep up the momentum. Not a great performance but who cares? That's our points total increased by 41% in the last 7 days compared to the total we'd had after the first 7 months. Free week next Saturday and then St Mirren at home the following week. Come on Livi!

That was not pretty. But a win is a win, unbelievable at times just incredible lack of poor discipline and self belief. Hopkins, not got a scooby. Once again who changes the game? Sheerin....he must surely start alongside Buchanan against St Mirren. But some serious errors in play we will have to play better to get the points against the saints, it should be a cracker. A win against them will put us on level pegging. My last comment Whyte, yes he scored but he is not our saviour, not by a long shot. (excuse the pun)

Finally we get a win over Dumbarton. Again not the best of games to watch but i'll take a scrappy win any day of the week if it can help to get us up to 8th place.
If Hopkin is going to persist with Cole at CB then he needs to tell him about his decision making, he's going to cost us points as we can't get as lucky as today again with all the passes to an opposition player to get through on our goal. Just clear the ball and cut out the madness Mr Cole, absolutely no need to be making these awful attempted pass backs when under pressure.
Don't think Telfer up front worked today, at times Buchanan had no support and was having to just go himself, I would rather have Sheerin playing there with Buchanan and Telfer at RM or LM. White is a good sub to bring on too, hopefully Hopkin doesn't repeat todays starting line up against St Mirren.
My nerves have just about settled, felt uneasy until big White scored our second goal, Dumbarton have scored too many late goals against us for me to have relaxed with us only being a goal up. Fantastic week for us though, two wins and a draw and breathing down Dumbarton's neck.

A win is all that matters but I am worried that Cole actually thinks he played well. Credit where it is due tho he did clear up one of his self inflicted messes by clearing after Gordon's sliding challenge prevented Nade from getting a shot away. And second half seemed to eliminate the attempts to gift them a goal.
Halkett continues to impress, Pittman appeared to be back to form if not quite his best, Telfer has a very good 1st touch and should have been given an open goal from Stanton but the latter tried to score himself after a great steal inside Dumbarton's half. Longridge is showing why he was highly rated last season and Mullin has a decent cross in him but is nowhere near as fast as he was touted to be when we signed him. Buchanan and White both showed good opportunism to grab their goals which were terribly defended by Dumbarton. McCallum had to make some saves thanks to the bombscare defending but although we scored twice we didn't really give their keeper that much to do. Having said that he did save well from Stanton's shot from distance.

Yep Cole made a couple of good clearances (although they were self inflicted) and makes good tackles, but the amount of times he puts it back to McCallum when under pressure and then puts pressure on McCallum is unreal. He really needs to stop with the fancy stuff in defence when he's our last man too, when he loses the ball we're in big trouble, even tries back heelers to McCallum inside the 6 yard box, ffs just clear it and make sure we don't risk losing a goal.
Good bit of composure for White's goal too, he made a pigs ear of it on Tues and got slaughtered so credit to him for scoring the way he did on Sat.

Good point on White's goal JS... we are often quick to criticise and slow to give praise; and you are spot on here. White got pelters after blazing it over the bar on Tuesday, it was a bad miss but not a guaranteed goal so some of the criticism was OTT, on Saturday I thought he'd made a mess of it again until the ball hit the net but seeing the highlights showed how composed he was this time so definitely well done to the big fella.
