Good 3pts for Livi today.
Looks like DJ is dropped and he is all over social media so looks like his head is else where right now.

Started with Sheerin up front alongside Buchanan and it made all the difference to our attack. Buchanan worked his socks off running about all over and Sheerin gave us a much needed target man to play the ball to in the centre of our attack.
Cracking finish by Buchanan for our first goal and a nice through ball from Sheerin setting him up. Sheerin also put his goal away well for our second. Our third was a tremendous solo effort from just inside our half with Buchanan using his body well to take out his marker and then run with the ball right up the pitch and knock it past the keeper.
We kept it nice and simple in defence and kept a clean sheet too, no shaky moments with daft pass backs or goal keeping errors. McCallum's kick outs were solid enough, can only think of one that was a bit dodgy but nothing on the scale of DJ's along the ground ones that gave me palpitations.
Good solid performance from everyone except maybe Hippo, didn't do anything wrong really but just didn't seem on his game and his shooting is pretty weak. Might do him some good to be dropped to the bench against Dumbarton, maybe give him a wee rest for coming back more focussed.
A much needed 3 points that got us off the bottom spot, now onto Dumbarton for the same again and get into either 8th or 7th depending on the St Mirren result.

Great win for livi lets keep it up and also have sheerin and Buchanan playing together most of the time now as I think that would be a good formation

Well, it was a welcome win over one of the sides we should be aiming to finish above at the end of the season. Them & any other side will do for me.
My young un has been nipping my ear for weeks saying it needs to be Sheerin & Buchanan up front & when he saw the team he actually said that was pretty much the side he would be looking to field every week. Given that McCallum only just got here, he clearly meant any goalie but DJ on current form.
Toplion...in what way is DJ all over the social media? Are you referring to his blog or has he had a whinge about being dropped?

He has been needing dropped for weeks, obviously Burchill kept playing him because he didn't think Gould was good enough to come in, though begs the question why he was signed.
DJ being played week in week out after making mistakes that cost us games was doing him and us no favours, competition for places is what keeps players sharp, he'll get his chance to come back in and should be a better keeper for it.

I was wondering if White/Sheerin up front and Buchanan in a free roaming role would work, he (Buchanan) kinda wanders around in a free role and drifts out to the wing at times, then pops up in the box to get balls played through to him, so I think all three could play together and would certainly give any defence a hard time coping with three different kinds of attacking players.
Mullen plays as an attacking midfielder most of the time so think Buchanan could too and have Sheerin/White as the front two strikers.

There was one game this season where White, Buchanan & Mullen all started & were interchanging quite well but I can't remember which one & in the end they seemed to lose their way. Mullen got challenged & then disappeared for a while.
I don't think Sheerin is as unfit as some people are suggesting. He is the solid guy that we have been crying out for up front who can take the ball in & hold it up or lay it off. Buchanan is pretty good at that too but when he is doing that he isn't a goal threat. Sheerin's physical presence makes him more of a threat in that respect. White always does better with the ball at his feet, as does Mullen but he needs to get on the weights & bulk up.

I am not on FB or Twitter, never used them or wanted to. I don't care how many times some no-mark farted before breakfast. If someone has something interesting to say then I could be interested in reading it & you have said he is apparently hurting at being dropped but I wouldn't know where to look to see it for myself. Frankly I'm not that bothered but most folk usually provide a link to what they are talking about & I thought you might do the same.

Only thing I've seen was some tweet from DJ about us having found the weakness in our game (took it as him not playing)and winning 3-0, with a wee crying with laughter smiley.
Burchill saying he wasn't fully fit after not training because of a thigh strain and he was still his No1 keeper, but McCallum will be playing against Dumbarton this week after keeping a clean sheet.

Cheers for being so friendly & helpful. For all I know you could be a compulsive liar & DJ could be saying things like "Brave but right decision by the manager to leave me out, its all about the team"
