Normally the 2nd header is pretty dull but this should be a lively encounter after how our midweek game ended.
Would hope we set the defence out the same, it definitely helped with our attacking play getting overlaps down the wings. Pittman in the hole linking up with Buchanan and having Gibbons, Cole, Georgiev/Glen & Hippo in midfield, hopefully DJ is working on his kicking and saving free kicks.
Would take a boring 1-0 win just to get us points on the board but have a feeling this will be a heated, full of action affair. 2-1 Livi, mon the Lions.

Double headers rarely repeat results...(our games with QoS for example & even the Clyde games were different after 90 minutes)... a draw at best; but I suspect vengeance will be served.

Well we didn't get that first league win but a much deserved point to get us started on the points table.
Thought we were the better team after the first 20 mins, slow start and caught out with a ball in behind our high line gave them a goal of a start again. Good comeback after that though and got back in the game with a penalty from Hippo being fouled, well put away by Buchanan too.
Big Shags almost got the winner at the death but wasn't to be. I'd have been delighted with a win in the cup and a draw in the league at the start of this week, so although I felt a bit miffed we didn't win yesterday it has been a good week.
The team has looked a more solid unit against St Mirren, things starting to click, will wait till we play Morton next week before getting too optimistic though as St Mirren gave us a lot of time on the ball. Might be different playing a team that presses us more.

So we win midweek draw yesterday and it's a good week? Stmirren are not up to much and we got a point lucky alloa got beat I say I still reckon we will be fighting at the foot of the table

No pleasing some folk, thank goodness we didn't lose both games, or perhaps that would've made you happy?

Have to agree with you jonsnow; I'd have taken a defeat in the cup & 3 points yesterday as a good week as well; a bad week would have been 2 defeats or losing the league game; knocked out the cup & a draw would have been okay. What we got was a good week; had we won both games it would have been an excellent week.
Doesn't matter how good or bad the opposition are you can only deal with the opposition on the day. Its still a very long way to go & we may well be battling at the wrong end of the table again but at least last weeks results have given us something to build on.

Exactly Aulnick, the main thing was not suffering four league defeats in a row and having that losing mentality festering going into the game against Morton. Don't know about our players but not having that losing feeling from yet another league defeat certainly brightened up my weekend. Can only give us confidence going into the Morton game.

I think what he should have said was "one swallow does not make it summer" To be satisfied for this week depends on next, if improvement is continued, then this was a good week, if we loose again and are knocked out of the cup then this week was not so good.

And being realistic; looking at those highlights we could have lost it & we could have won it in roughly equal measure...so a draw was probably about right.

Highlights were really overly fair to St Mirren; they had the better of the first 20 minutes but afterwards we were by far the best side in my opinion. What was frustrating (apart from Glen and others being hacked down as they went for the break) was our lack of actual shots on target. For all our possession I don't think their keeper was any busier than ours. They hit the woodwork so in a sense they could have won it but that would have been a travesty in my mind. Apart from route 1 speed from their number 7 they had very little to offer. We played a lot better than the Falkirk game but St Mirren were also very poor.

Agreed, a draw was a better result for them than us on the way both teams played, had we nicked it with Jordan's outstretched leg it wouldn't have been harsh on St Mirren, we were the better team.
