That's all the Hamilton and kaisayr boys checking out who to watch for, mcginty I thoroughly enjoyed Saturdays game. There was always going to be slight difficulties with the pitch or fitness levels after the Christmas, both of which took there toll on me along with some of the other lads... What was excellent to see and be a part in was our style of play. At our level with er en always going to have some mistakes at various points, but if we spread the ball about to ease the pressure off at certain times, we really feel the benefit of it through our energy levels and movement. On Saturday we were able to attack on all three fronts, with graham and Tim making many cracking drives forward to open up chances. When that happens, we rip teams apart. I can't think of a game where we've been effective at attacking on more than one channel and not won a game. Motm: graham. Had a cracking game and caused them countless troubles. Donkey: the ref for getting in the way and ending.in tom's shoulder being taken for a stroll...

Thought I'd start this for the time being. Thought I couldn't have been alone in having mixed feelings after that one. It was rubbish to lose a two goal lead, but on the other hand, thought our lead wasn't earned in the way we would normally like. I reckon their passing completion rate could have easilly been up towards the 80% mark, while ours was quite possibly as low as it ever has been. Within twenty minutes they could have been 3 or 4 ahead, but some cracking efforts from Jordan and a couple of last ditch tackles by some of the defenders kept us in it. Thought the entire defense had a fairly rocky start to the game, bit they settled in a little more in the second half. Thought Tom had a decent game, and really kept his head throughout - still, when the defense needed it he perked up and set them right. Was a tough role for him working alongside Daz, which was going to be difficult no matter which team we were playing. On the whole, apart from a few strayed passes, Daz done well. Daz Keith and Graham both had good games, especially.in the first halves where they were both playing common parts in our attacks. Mutter made a couple of good passes when he came on, and sav was quite determined to make a definite impact also. We'll done lads. Bougie was another one who done well in the two times he was called upon. It wasent so long ago he was known as a bit of a bombscare with the ball lol but lately he's calmed down so much in his role and put in a few cracking shifts when he makes it along. Motm for me has to be dave though. With two goals and a number of times getting through the defense to create chances or assist with others, it was good to get a chance to see what he does more closely. Donkey would have to be.... Well, I cant pick. Maybe Bowmen for giving away a penalty unlucky mate.

This was a disappointing game for us in most respects, and I think we were fortunate that the hearts boys made lots of unforced passing errors. I felt that was the main reJason they struggled to get out of second gear.
For us, I thought we had them in the first half because they were moaning at eeach other so much. Then in the second they kept it going and I was convinced we had the win on our side. From that, though, the moaning started on our side and it didn't help.
Between tich and Tom it was possibly the worst it's been I thought. As soon as the moaning started between you two, everyone else quietened down and stopped with the healthy shouts between us (although there might not have been as many as we need). I just think that threshold for what is productive criticism was breached on saturday and it had an impact on us. As soon as people start to feel like they'll get into trouble for messing anything up, they don't want the ball because the pressure increases too much. Normally I get it tight from tom lol but I thought he was a lot more constructive towards me during this game and it helped my game I thought.
I thought there was some half decent performances on the day, though. Daz Keith had loads of energy, and did well to keep up with some of the long balls that were getting thrown in his direction in the first half. He had a tougher opponent on his side than I had in mine, but Daz kept him quiet most of the game I thought.
Anyway, with all that, the bottom line is that we wextent good enough on the day. We struggled with some of our passing as well and there were a few performances across the park that might have been a gear behind. Onwards to Geordie munrovers and let's make sure of this one.
Motm: Dave. Picking the ball up in our half, going on a cracking run down the right flank and releasing it to tich for our goal was excellent play from any player, let alone our main striker. Donkey: Wullie

Thought we had some good spells in the first half, but quite often lost.it in midfield or panicked a bit in defense.
My first half performance had everything I'd want from any game, apart from a good final ball to set up Dave, Richie or tich. My thinking was a little slow and I think thats the one thing we took a wee bit of time to get going with. Once we caught the break with a bit of confidence we settled down.
We made sure we were going out.in right mindset to fully capitalise on their slow second half start.
That was great to see.
Motm: Dave. Hatrick and constant. Pressure resulting in some key touches around their box.
Donkey: Ryan 'what women want' Mutter.
