You watch it? Still don't think Kompany's red card was deserved at all. He went in hard but won the ball fairly. I've seen a couple of red cards lately that are completely undeserved but the refs got all excited because the tackles been hard. It's an art being able to time a tackle well yet too many players are being punished when they really shouldn't be.

Agreed. Never a red. Poor decision.

It was 2 footed and he left the ground so im not sure how anyone could think it wasnt a red card? The rule isnt whether or not he gets the ball its if the tackle is putting another player in danger and that 1 was.

Kompany didn't take his eyes off the ball once, stood his ground then when Wilshere took the touch, he timed ther tackle excellently to win the ball. Tough job for refs as they only get one shot at it but he got that wrong.

The commission decided that Mike Dean, the referee, had made an "obvious error" – the only criteria by which his ruling could be rescinded – in sending City's captain off for his tackle on Jack Wilshere in the second half at the Emirates Stadium.
It is thought Dean issued the red card because he adjudged Kompany's challenge to be two-footed. City's evidence included video footage of the incident from at least four angles and showed that the Belgian's right boot was actually tucked behind his left calf. The right decision. It was an excellent tackle and I guess City will just be happy they were all ready home and dry before Kompany walked. Had they dropped points because of it. I don't think we'd ever hear the end of it.
