Good, solid win albeit we made life a bit difficult for ourselves in the second half. Nice to see us get a couple of early goals then change our game to an extent and soak up a lot of pressure and come away with the win and a clean sheet.
Some good performances all over the park. Standard clean sheet from Hack but he did make a couple of big saves when it looked odds on they were going to pull a goal back. Bowman was impressive again at RB and McGinty used his experience well to try and esnure we kept the shape under huge pressure.
Tich and Darryll linked excellently in the middle of the park and dominated most of the first half - cracking effort given neither really see themselves as central midfielders. Paul came into the game in the second half and ran circles round their left back. Good to have Tom back and great to see him acknowledge that he might not have been as influential in the middle so shifted things about for the better of the team and not just to suit him - doesn't matter where he plays anyway, he'll set me up!
Another big shift from DCP - cracking first touch and hold up ability for a goalie. Probably deserved a goal over the piece.
MotM for me though was Scudge. Done the basics well and so many times was there to make a last ditch block, get a toe in to clear or making huge tackles in or around the box. Even won his fair share of headers too! One of the best performances I've seen from him in a GS shirt.
Munro gets the donkey this week - not for necking half a bottle of tonic before the game, but for not being able to finish the full thing ;-)
Well played lads.
