Tough hard fought performance yesterday lads. Another slow start from us but our quality showed through in the last 20 mins of the first half. Great to see the team so successful. MoTM - Richie Kay. Easily could have bottled it on each penalty but kept a cool head and slotted them away. Donkey - Hard to see past the ref but I'll go for Mark with his fresh air swipe when trying to clear it in the second half

We started poorly and lost two poor goals, but the last 20/25 minutes of the first half we showed why we are unbeaten and we got the two goals we needed. The second half we kept pushing and pushing and got the two goals and ended up.winning the game so well done everyone
MoTM - Paul Kelly. Kept talking a the side of the park. Made sure everyone was doing their jobs Donkey - Joe Bardell for not getting in the the team photo

I was genuinely worried when they scored their second.I think everyone was, which is why we seemed to kick it up gear after that. I had the definite fear/feeling of 'i will rack.my brain for weeks if we fall at the last couple of games, what could I have done better'. didn't fancy losing yet, and didnt fancy going to the side of the park at half time down again like the stadium game.
Thought there were lots of cracking performances, but I think th. Work rate from all of.us is what kept us on top.
WEll done to big steve for making his first star in a while and besides a couple of tricky moments, done exactly what was required. Sat relatively safe in front of dougie to absorb some of their attacks down the right.
tm : although I'm quietly raging that he's overtaken me on the season's goalscoring list with two penalties, it's gotta be Richie Kay. Excellent fight to get us the three points.
Donkey - might have to be Charles for doing a John Terry and then giving Joe donkey for not doing the same lol or could easily give it to their ginger boy who tries to mentally affect opponents with comments on par with a 12 year old.

It's worth remembering that we were missing a couple of boys who could have easily started that game - Daz, Chris and Wullie to name three. It's superb that even when missing three regulars, we've got the bodies to still pull in a 16 man squad (if Hastie had bothered to turn up) and show the sort of fight we did to come back from 2 goals down to clinch the win and the league.
Really poor opening spell but there were some obvious nerves on display - that's natural given what was at stake but we need to try and deal with that better. Once we got the first goal back, we turned it on and I really think there only looked to be one winner from then on. 4 goals, hit the bar twice and the post - could have been a few more on another day.
MotM - Tich nicks it for me this week. Took his goal excellently, set me up well and was a complete pain in the arse for them to mark at times.
Donkey - Jordo for wiping out McGinty haha.

Good to see that game out. Think we've been guilty of giving other teams a head start in terms of motivation lately. Then, I suppose that comes with the position we're in. Other teams set out their stall to prove a point when they are facing the leaders. Something I am happy to be getting used to this season. MotM - Tich. What some people might not have seen.. was aside from the attachking play and calmness on the ball.. was when I was up at corners.. he covered for me sitting deep in midfield / defensive position time and time again. Totally unselfish and team driven performance. Excellent. Donkey.. tough one. Couple hard lessons learned by players at times... and difficult tasks asked of those who perhaps aren't as 'match fit' in terms of regular game time which does help build awareness and understanding. So gonna go with Jordo for cleaning me out.. and still missing the ball.

MotM - McGinty for me. Pleasure to play alongside, unbeliveably composed at times and more than once made vital a tackle / interception
Donkey - John "Chucky" Terry
