According to "The Scotsman" this morning we have signed Nathan Austin from Falkirk (formerly East Fife)- initially on loan with a permanent deal to follow.

We could certainly do with a goalscorer and his stats are pretty good but he was an unused sub against us, so who knows what he will bring to the "table"

Gregor Buchanan signs up and Dale Carrick moves out and signs for Airdrie.
Buchanan gives us good experience and cover in defence, could do with a striker coming in though. That's Mullen and Carrick left and Austin didn't sign for us so I take it we're still trying to bring one in.

Can't say I'm surprised that Carrick has gone, IMO Hoppy only signed him when he knew Liam Buchanan was leaving, so that we wouldn't be short of a forward. I don't think Carrick has had a fair crack of the whip and it must be soul destroying to be told you are an important part of the squad only to find that everyone else that can play up front gets picked before you. Just a pity he was unable to build on his scoring debut with his first touch of the ball.
No idea how good Gregor Buchanan is but if he is an experienced defender then he has to be a better option than Toddy (he has done ok at the back but it's not his natural position).

It has been all go today in the transfer market, Hoppy in overdrive getting Ryan Hardie and Lee Miller signed up, and also signing Jack McMillan on an 18 months deal for free from Motherwell, with them releasing him from his contract on condition they get a sell on clause in place.
So we've released players that weren't getting much games for us and replaced them with players that will be vying for a place. Hardie should give us the goal scorer we were desperate for too.

McMillan looked useful during his loan period before Christmas, not as impressive as Penrice but useful enough.
Miller is a decent player with plenty experience, so hopefully he can get a few in the pokey. 27 goals in 61 games for Falkirk apparently, a similar return for us would be very acceptable.
I don't know much about Hardie, so will just accept it and let him impress me.

He doesn't seem to like St Mirren much, only scored 3 goals for them and has scored 6 against them, 3 in a game playing for Raith and another 3 in December there playing for The Rangers U20's in a Development game. Gregor Buchanan was playing for St Mirren in that game too. Hopefully he can make it a triple whammy and get 3 for us against them in our February fixture.

Adam Frizzel joins us on loan from Killie. Promotion push in the play offs from this signing methinks.
