2 sleeps...
A rough plan for you all boys so you all know what's what.
Friday
So train from Waverley to Preston is at 2.51pm. Probably good if we all head down in GS trackies/t-shirts.
I'd suggest everyone aims to be there around 2pm/2.15pm latest to make sure we're all good to go. I'll likely head through around midday and grab a bite to eat and a pint at Sportsters or such like before getting the train so we can maybe get that on the go if a load of you fancy it.
Train due to arrive in Preston at 5.15pm so not too long a journey. The hotel isn't far from the station so we'll just walk along from there.
We'll need to get checked in and pay for the hotel on arrival, For a reminder, rooms are as follows -
Andy Crawford/Ryan Mutter Steve Lyon/Chris Love Dougie Shaw/Wullie McDonald Connor Lynch/Darren O'Neill Dave Black/Richie Kay Paul Miller/Joni Agini Graham Yorke/Tom Cheeseman Jordan McAlpine/Scott Munro
First person in each room is the lead name but I'm sure you'll be able to split the payment if need be.
I think the plan will be, get checked in, I'll dish out the kits to everyone on the Friday night so we're all good to go on the Saturday, get washed and changed then head out for grub/pints.
Saturday
Our first game is at 10.30am but we need to be there an hour before to get registered so I've got us a mini-bus booked to collect from the hotel at 9am. I've paid the minibus upfront so you're all due me £4 each to cover the cost of that for the Saturday.
Our game times (and pitches) are as follows -
10:30 (4): Livingston GS v Port Vale 12:00 (6): Runcorn v Livingston GS 14:15 (3): Livingston GS v Ayr 16:30 (6): Rochdale v Livingston GS
All of our pitches are grass. We'll be fine in the yellow kit all day on the Saturday so that's handy.
Our last game should be finished for 5pm and the minibus is booked to collect us at 5.30pm to take us back to the hotel. Again, plan likely be to get washed and changed then head out again for grub and pints.
Sunday
Obviously the Sunday is a case of waiting to see how Saturday goes. The minibus folk have said if we let them know on the Sat night, they can get us to the pitches again on the Sunday but we'll sort that down there.
Train home is at 5.53pm (in to Edinburgh at 8.22pm). Depending on how we get on, we'll either be playing for a while or papped out early doors. Either way, I think the plan is to get changed then head toward the station for some food and a few pints before getting the train home on the Sunday.
Think that covers most things for down there just now.
We'll need the yellow kit, black kit, footballs and medibag. We'll not bother with the water bottles and just get water down there to save carrying them on the train. We'll probably just take the 3 Mitre match balls down too to save us taking the big ball bag - going to have to watch how we go for space on the train.
Money wise - train is paid so all that's left to pay is hotel (£62.50 each) and minibus on the Saturday (£4 each), other than that, up to you how much you want to take.
Give me a shout if you've any other questions.
