Taking a step back from the eternal reasons/excuses Livi fans have found over the years not to attend games what would we say are the more specific issues, at this time, that sees the Livi support shrinking away, both at Almondvale and away from home, before our very eyes? Too many poor results and poor governance at the club for the last few seasons. Constant litigation and negative headlines in the media don't help either. I don't like any of the above either but I do love the football and having a team to support.

The fact that Livi have been dire to watch at home for the last 2 seasons doesn't encourage me to go to away games ...saying that I attended 2 away games at the end of last season and really enjoyed the atmosphere the Livi supporters created . Maybe getting a few more home wins would help the away attendances .

In no specific order: cost v. value for money (our STs are VFM but not everyone can afford the outlay in one go & Scottish Football in general is overpriced & overhyped) the set up of the Scottish League (too many games against the same opposition) the poor quality of officials (how many games are spoiled by useless officials?) the "baggage" that seems to follow Livi regardless of who is the owner/majority shareholder

The atmosphere at home is pretty poor to be honest; that being said the atmosphere and noise (pretty much all positive) generated at the last St Mirren game was truly uplifting - if only we could do the same at home.
Also the really poor marketing - even sticking a poster on the Almondvale Suite to let people know of the next game would be a start. There has historically been almost an arrogance that expect people to know; yes - if you're a regular/season ticket holder then you do but casuals wont.

Last season I felt the club had disengaged from the fans, so the local community must feel very detached from the club.
The AS being for away fans only, serveries overpriced and quite frankly with the club renewing their contract it felt like they had no interest that the fans were being ripped off. There was little effort being made at all to attract fans, the club seemed to just leave everything to Hearts, Sevco & Hibs being enough to get folk coming to our games.
Big improvement on the AS this season having both sets of fans, plus the Krafty beer sponsor getting involved was great, if they get BT football in then it would prob help get more fans down there as a lot of away fans look for a pub that has the football on. Would be a good idea to do champions league nights down there too, I know a few people that would be interested in that and would def go down to the AS.
I feel the club needs a big promotion push next pre season (in promoting ST & merchandise), have an open day sown at the stadium, face painting, bouncy castle, beat the goalie, meet the players for selfies/autographs etc. Set a stall up outside with merchandize too so it is in folks full view. Oh and advertise it well in advance so people can make plans to go down with their kids.
Get a Livi fc float into all the gala days too, some youth players in full Livi kit handing out sweets, badges, fliers with some special promo for our first league game, and advertising the open day too.
Basically get the community made aware we've a local SPFL team and re engage with them.

Its "fans" with attitudes like this that have seen the club support dwindle. Get behind them; everything looked bleak last March but 6 weeks later we had hope; there is a long way to go, there is still a chance we can turn the season round...and if not we go down a division...so what? Is it "Livi til I die" or "Livi til I find something better to do"?

Yep, i don't follow Livi because I'm a glory hunter, lets support the team through good times and bad. We are where we are, with one of the lowest budgets in the league we've got what we can afford.

This guy 'misdemeanour' is clearly trying to be controversial and establish a reputation for himself. The clue is in the name. There was a great quote from WC Fields - a miserable, pessimistic, hilarious American comic who came to prominence in the 1920s - that Misdemeanour would love. He said "The first thing I do when I get up in the morning is smile - get it over with." Some people just have a 'cup half empty' mentality. Nothing we can do about it. I suspect Misdemeanour has a black belt in no-can-do and is generally a doom-monger. Well, people like that will not affect my outlook or influence the positive support that I will always give to Livi. When times are hard, we see the loyal fans from the fickle ones. This is a time for strength and courage and support. I don't mind criticism of the team or the manager or the tactics. But anyone can present problems - not everyone can offer solutions. Let's be constructive if we want to be judged seriously and as genuine fans. I think Mark Burchill has a good squad and there are plenty of signs of encouragement. We've to play two so-called lesser teams in the next fortnight. Then three quarters of the season remain. Long long way to go. Get behind the team and the manager and the club. .

We've to play two so-called lesser teams in the next fortnight. Then three quarters of the season remain. Long long way to go. Get behind the team and the manager and the club. . Intriguing if it not some what under whelmed by your left sided comments truth be told. *Far from being a doom monger I am loyal - to the core. *Do I care about the club I support - very much so. *Would I miss not going to every home and away games every Saturday - absolutely. Before you know me or indeed anything about me I would suggest you get off your inept Shetland pony and simply note the fact that it is pure frustration boiling over. I have no idea what the solution is to drive people back to the vale, or indeed whatever the stadium is called this week. I say that in jest because the sponsorship amount was around the £5k mark I am led to believe. If that was he case what does £5k do? However it is clear that we have an issue. Yes we have loyal band of fans but the numbers simply are not strong enough to substantiate a championship side never mind make it competitive. A few of us have suggested ideas from canvassing door to door around West Lothian to encourage fans back or even to lending the club free hours of an individuals time to promote or increase awareness in perhaps a marketing or direct sales role, but it falls on deaf ears. There is no structure or plan at the club that is communicated to the fans as we have said many times before which would show stability then itself would provide confidence not only in the team but the people of West Lothian. Agreed that performances last two seasons have not been good, but we have been lucky to survive financially so on one hand I guess we are lucky to have a team to support. However in saying the above from all the games I have watched this season (that will be every game both Home and Away), most have been either winnable or get something out of them had the right team selection or tactics been deployed by a manager who got us out of a hole last season but his true colours are clearly being shown this season. Clearly now out of his depth. However the immediate issues we have is getting bums on seats. When you think Livingston has a population of around 55000, 1% of the population almost makes up our season tickets sold to date. It also begs the question of how much footfall one of Scotland's main shopping centres get every Saturday from all over Scotland.not just West Lothian. The point being that we are not tapping into the resources on hand at our disposal. I am sure that many who come by coach or car to shop would perhaps or could have an incentive in some way to take in a match whilst the other half shop away. But I finish with this, I wrote this threat originally because of pure frustration with LFC. Yes it has created a bit of interest and comments, but unless either we as a unit and by that I mean not just the 500 / 600 season ticket holders I mean West Lothian as a whole decide that we want a competitive football club in the community it simply will be as the title dictates. Some kind of derivative needs to be put in place and sooner rather than later.
