Worst performance for years when we went there earlier in the season. We were absolutely awful. EEP's a tough place to go to but through December and January, they've only managed one win there and they lost last time out against Airdrie.
We played some decent stuff on Saturday but just didn't put away a couple of very good chances. If we dominate the same way in this one, I'd be hopeful of us doing OK.
I don't think a point would be bad here but a win keeps our very, very faint hopes of catching the top 3 alive.

Returning Jacobs confident ahead of trip to face Pars
KYLE JACOBS is revelling in being back amongst the first-team action at Livingston.
The midfielder made his first start last week since recovering from injury, and is set to be
involved again as the Lions take on Dunfermline tomorrow.
Despite last week’s defeat at Greenock Morton, he reckons the First Division is the tightest league in Scotland – and the Livi players can be full of confidence heading to the third-placed side’s East End Park tomorrow.
He said: “It’s great to be back training and trying to help the team press on up the table. I’m finally fit and hopefully I’ll be able to stay fit.”

We'll have to play better than the 4-0 humping we got the last time we were over visiting the six fingered mob! We've come on leaps and bounds since then so hopefully we can take the game right to them and put them under pressure high up the park. See you behind the goals. COLTS!

A performance like last week with a bit more clinical presence up top and we won't be far away today. Id give Jordan morton a start though - always looks to add some urgency to things and in a big park like eep, we might need that more than ever.

I just noticed that Scougs used the phrase winning ugly on his Twitter and that's a good description. It's important that we can change our approach to the game and still come out on top, so it was a really big result for us I think. Getting our first shut out for a while will hopefully give us another wee confidence booster. It's probably a game we would have lost at the start of the season when we were too one dimensional. I wasn't impressed with Dunfermline at all. They showed the right attitude and pushed us but there wasn't much quality on show from them.

Tony Andreu (six yard line) celebrates scoring the only goal of the game from close range after 21 minutes. Dunfermline 0-1 Livingston Sat 26th Jan '13Tony had an excellent afternoon and I don't think there was single failure on our side! I hope he's okay cos it looked like he had an ice pack strapped to his left calf after he went off. Today was a real backs to the wall performance and the whole team really dug deep for the 3 points! Yes, Dunfermline huffed and puffed and had a high percentage of possession but we harried, closed down and restricted them for long spells to taking pot shots from distance. Where we could have helped ourselves a wee bit better was when we elected to pump the ball long it was very often just a hit and hope (similar to Dunfermline did all game). That just gives the ball away and will probably see John Collins having palpitations in the stand. We're much better when we look for the man first and if that means the long ball is an available option then we at least know where to hit it rather than an aimless punt that simply gives the ball away. Overall, a well deserved 3 points, in my opinion. Great too to keep a clean sheet, something we've not done for a wee while. I reckon we should be looking to ride over the top of Dumbarton next week and confidently knock their recent revival squarely on the head. COLTS!

Andreu seals points for Lions
Anthony Andreu's first-half strike ensured Livingston returned to winning ways with a narrow 1-0 victory over third-placed Dunfermline.

Livingston were unchanged from the team that lost to Morton the previous Saturday and it was the visitors who kicked off attacking the goal at the McCathie Stand end. Cardle had an early shot that failed to do any damage but in fifth minute Joe broke on the counterattack from a defended Livvy free kick. He raced away, beat the full back, beat Andrew McNeil with the shot but Jesus Garcia headed the ball off the line.

Thrilled Livi boss Evans said: “I am delighted with the result. We could have maybe played a bit better but they didn’t cause us too many problems.
“I thought the whole team were terrific defensively.
“This is a difficult place to come so to leave here with a win is fantastic.”

Absolutely delighted with that win. Tough, tough place to go but the Pars aren't at the races just now and it was a good time to go there and try and get a result.
Didn't think we played to our best but we did have spells of good pressure. A wee bit more clinical in the final 3rd and we could have grabbed a second goal to ease the worry up in the stand!
Solid performance from front to back - Andy came and collected a few crosses and it was good for him, and the defence as a whole, to claim a clean sheet.
We've got ourselves in a position now where we can catch Dunfermline and not be a million miles away from Morton and Thistle. Already looking forward to Dumbarton!
COLTS!

Livingston ‘mix it up’
to beat Pars
By CALUM LESLIE
CRAIG BARR reckons Livingston proved they’re no pushovers as the Lions grabbed a 1-0 win over promotion hopefuls Dunfermline at East End Park.
A Tony Andreu goal was enough to see Gareth Evans’ men secure all three points, with an organised and resilient display proving more than
a match for the home side’s probing in attack.
While Barr knows Livi might be known for playing good football, he admitted the win
revealed another side to the West Lothian outfit.
He said: “One thing we’re not renowned for is maybe grinding out results. People think we might be walked over, but today we showed we can mix it up. We can defend well and get a clean sheet.

Absolutely delighted with that win. Tough, tough place to go Agreed! Good to get it up their bad tempered fans! There was one asshole in particular in the stand opposite the main stand who was giving it large with his foul mouth the whole afternoon. - he screamed to Iain Russell at one point "I hope you die in a house fire ya **nt! I've heard some pish shouted at plenty of games but I reckon that was the worst! Asshole, indeed.

Most likely a coward and a thug, if you ask me. Actually, I remember this one time, when I was younger, this guy was bullying a girl. I went right up to him and told him to pack it in or I would tell the headmistress on him. Worked a treat. The girl was able to pick up her school bag and go to her next class. That the bully was waiting for me that night at the school gates to kick my head in is another story altogether. 100% fact!

We weren't at the Dunfermline game but the LiviTV highlights make it look like Dunfermline were all over us just like the last time there. It's not like us for that to happen apart from that one time this season. Our guys in the middle must've been having an off day?
