www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/21128034Villa vs Bradford in the second leg of the Englsih League cup semi-final tonight. Is this his last chance to keep his job down there? Currently 3-1 down from the first leg and I can't imagine Bradford will be going there fearing anything haveing turned them over already. With a defence as dodgy as Villa's, I reckon Bradford will score which means Villa will need 4 to go through - big ask. They had the best draw of the teams possible so if they don't make the final, it'll hurt the fans big time and it might be one poor result too far. Strange system they have for if the game is level after the second leg down there. If Villa win 2-0 tonight that makes it 3-3 on agg and the game goes to extra-time. However, if stayed 2-0 (3-3) come the end of the extra-time, Villa go through on away goals. So effectively, away goals don't count until the end of extra-time. Strange. Does mean that the only way we can see penalties are if Villa win 3-1. No idea how this one will go. Even at the weekend, Villa got themselves 2-0 up against WBA but caved in and had to settle for a 2-2 draw. I'd hedge my bets on Villa winning tonight but not by enough to go through.

It's win the tie or bust for Lambert, I reckon.
I feel for the Villa fans who've had one disastrous manager after another recently with Lambert just the latest to bite off more than he can chew.
Bradford to make the final.
Taxi for Lambert.

Lambert to keep fighting - www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/21154881Lambert said: "I am absolutely gutted, hurt, disappointed, everything.
"You can either lie down or come out fighting and I will come out fighting." Millwall away in the FA Cup on Friday night then Newcastle at home in the league on Tuesday night - two losses and he'll be lucky to leave Villa park alive.

So papped out the league cup in the semis by a team in League 2, dumped out the FA Cup by a side in the Championship then lost a huge game last night against Newcastle which now sees them drop into the relegation zone.
The way football is in this day and age, I'm stunned he's still there.

Villa's next four games are Everton away, west ham at home, arsenal away and man city at home. With that run of games, i can only see them getting a max of three points from 12 and that could see them fall even further into trouble.
