No one said LiviTV got him the ban; but helping to show the incident drew greater interest than it might have had. And to say he kicked someone on the head makes it sound deliberate, which IMO it wasn't.
The point Liviman is perhaps moot but it certainly not mute however it is perhaps not as moot as you suggest. After all if the incident had been edited out & deleted then there would have been nothing to show. There was also a high boot by a Hearts player early in the game on one of our players (White I think) which went completely unpunished on the day(Hearts ended up with a free kick)...this was edited from the highlights & there has been no "witch hunt" on whichever Hearts player it was.
LiviTV do a great job with the highlights, probably the best available but IMO it was a poor choice to specifically highlight the incident with a "special" of the "tackle" in question; as I said, edit it out of the highlights & delete the edited sections & there is nothing to send to anyone. OK there may have been stills but stills don't give the entire picture (no pun intended).
I was also under the impression (although it may have changed in the intervening years) that "controversial" incidents were to be edited out of the highlights shown.

Remember that it was Jason that nearly kicked the boys face off. Jason the club or anyone else pointing the finger at anyone but himself and his dangerous actions are utterly deluded. He's got history with nearly kicking faces off don't forget. Maybe Jason and the club should to take a moment to reflect on his own actions and accept that the regular out of control head high king-fu lunges and kicks need to stop!

I refer you to the post I made above yours.
He did NOT nearly kick the boys face off, the sole/studs of his boot were admittedly too high & caught the opponent, it was an accident not a premeditated assault. There is a fine line between a brilliant tackle & a red card & no I am not suggesting this particular incident falls into that category but part of the reason his foot was too high was that IMO he slipped as he made the challenge.
Alan Shearer nearly kicked Neil Lennon's head off if you want an example of such. Jason Talbot is a committed journeyman pro (if he was any better he'd be at a higher level) who gives all he has & sometimes that results in mistimed challenges or other unfortunate collisions caused by slipping or from time to time recklessness & rushes of blood to the head.

Talking to the jambo at work today and he reckons that was one of the better performances against his team all season ...sometimes it takes an opposing fan to see the good things in our team . Anyway mon the Lions all of our better results have been away from the vale , bearing in mind the absolutely destroyed us there the last time 5-0 going on 10 . Prediction 3-0 easy home win

Been saying this for a while ,lost count of the amount of flying 2 footed challenges this guy has put in over the years ...sadly it's something you'll never take out of his game and for that reason Livi need to let him go at the end of the season

Do you actually hear yourself? No...I am sufficiently developed that I do not find it necessary to say out loud the things I type, don't worry, you'll get there eventually

I think the point here is Talbot done this no-one else.

I can't believe that Jason would have meant to kick anyone in the face so thank goodness the young player is okay. I think everyone has forgotten how bad it could have been by worrying about Jason being pnished and forgetting about why the punishment was even happening.

I think the point here is Talbot done this no-one else. No one is saying otherwise but the footage of the incident gave it a far higher media presence than it would have without it & the on field punishment of a booking may then have been deemed sufficient. Ifs, ands, buts & maybes...who knows? Bottom line is it didn't help. But he has accepted the additional punishment & apologised to the lad & was clearly apologetic to the ref at the time; so we move on.
