Alot of you will know, I took up Ice Hockey, and hung up the gloves of a goalkeeper, to put on gloves, to drop and fight haha!
This Saturday sees the end of the season, with my team, Edinburgh Lions guesting Murrayfield Juniors (Edinburgh capitals Under 20's) which takes place at Murrayfield Ice rink, Edinburgh, Saturday 26th July with a face off of 5pm. This game is a charity match, with all proceeds to go to The Butterfly Trust. Entry for the match is £5 for adults, and £3 for kids.
Never been before? Great opportunity to see what 'the fuss is about'. I know Livingston play QOS away in the cup, but if you are unable to make it, a great alternative. Even if it is to throw some abuse towards me, or my fellow team mates, we can take it! I dragged a few livi fans along, and they enjoyed it, and even came back! Great to take the kids along to, to keep then occupied for a few hours! Would highly recommend it!
A little bit about The Butterfly Trust...
The Butterfly Trust was established in 2002 to provide face-to-face support to people affected by Cystic Fibrosis (CF) throughout Scotland.
We aim to ensure that people living with CF have access to the support they need to benefit from optimum home care and enjoy the best possible quality of life in the community. This means providing practical help to people with CF, promoting their rights and giving them a voice to enable them to enjoy a suitable home environment, with equal opportunities in education, employment and independent living.
The Butterfly Trust is the only organisation providing these unique services for people with Cystic Fibrosis in Scotland.
If you can't make the game, there is a game on Sunday, at the same venue, at a face off time of 6pm vs Glasgow Cheifs, and if anyone wants to donate, I could pass on any monies that you wish to go towards The Buttefly's trust.
