You've got to hope that there is a reaction to the performance versus Falkirk last Saturday. I'm hoping that we put on a good show and actually turn them over. It's a cup game so only a win will do. Anything less and wur oot. See you behind the goals. #COLTS!

I've got no idea how we'll get on in this. Burke was raging at the team on Saturday so you would like to think that they'll not fancy another rollicking like that! The optimist in me says that Livi will win but the wee guy on the other shoulder isnie so sure.

I must say that despite not having too high expectations for Airdrie I do think that we should be good enough to beat them over the piece.
Saturday was quite deflating just to see how far behind Falkirk our young lads are (and they are young too).
I'll just me myself tomorrow as the (not so) wee man doesn't fancy it. Can see a few other folk giving it a body swerve too which is a pity as it must be quite demoralising for the players to see their support dwindling before their very eyes.

Airdrie haven't got off to the greatest of starts either and are sitting bottom of the second division. I'm confident our boys will get a result tonight. We weren't as terrible as some have made out on Saturday and the players will be desperate to put that right plus try and set themselves up with a good tie in the next round. Hopefully Sparky is available tonight after going off on Saturday. Think him and Barrowman have the potential to strike up a decent partnership. If not, I'd prefer to see Lander up there with Barrowman. He really impressed when he played against Dumbarton last season and I'd have him over Mullen. Wee bit on the BBC website about the game - www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/23763948Looking forward to it.

Well I hope that we can win tonight but we haven't had the best start to the league but its the cup so they will hopefully put the league performance aside and have a run in the cup, we do have good enough players to win comfortably tonight
What's everyone's prediction for tonight's game

And how are they called Airdrieonians again?

Watched their game on the tele the other night and they were absolutely battered by the rangers. Hoping that their confidence is in tatters and we can go there, beat them and get a tasty tie in the next round.
Hopefully someone boots that big coult guy into row z too - hes a right muppet.

Good solid win. Could have been more.
Airdrie were right stubborn at times but our skill and determination saw us through.
We're still not perfect though, but hopefully tonight will give the boys a wee confidence boost.
One of their 'fans' was having a right go at their goalie, Colin Stewart, after the final whistle and Stewart had to be held back by a steward from going in after the guy. What is with fans who think that screaming the odds at players and managers during (or after) a game is the smart thing to do? Mental.

By all accounts a much more accomplished performance last night against a less than stellar Airdrieonians side. Now to turn Hearts over at Tynecastle. Hope Richie Burke has his boxing gloves ready for Billy Brown.

Not the greatest performance in the world but we were by far the better team. Airdrie were really, really poor and even at this early stage, I wouldn't be surprised to see them around the bottom of League 1 come the end of the season.
Was good to have Mampuya back in the defence - he gives us another attacking option going forward as he seems to like getting down the line. Thought Mensing and Dycey were absolutely rock solid last night - won ver near everything that came their way and didn't give Coult or Lister any chance at all to try and get involved.
Walker didn't have much to do in goals but seemed comfortable enough with what he did have to deal with.
Didn't think Doc and McDonald had particularly great games last night - think both might struggle to hold down a starting place when we have a full compliment to choose from.
I really like the look of Barrowman. Didn't have much to work with last night but ran the channels well, fought for everything and took his goal superbly. Think he'll do a job for us this season.
All in all, happy to be in the hat for the next round and hopefully the boys will take a bit of confidence from the win up to Dundee on Friday night.

Go along claiming to support the team then hurl nothing but abuse at their own players/managers during the game? No' right in the heed these dafties! Good on Stewart for having a pop back at them - the big flapper that he is!

Does anyone else think that the more games Coll Donaldson plays the better he gets. He's only about 18 or 19 but he looks like he's been in the team for ages. He was very accomplished last night but I noticed he was more in the middle of the park as opposed to the defence. He really stood out for me.

I'd agree with that although for a 'defender', I think his best games for us so far have been when he's played in midfield. Really pleased to get the win last night - wouldn't have been too good to get dumped out another cup, especially by that lot! Nice to see Walker given a start - didn't think it'd be too long before that happened as Jamieson hasn't impressed 'til now. First clean sheet of the season too - he's surely got to keep his place for the Dundee game? Couple of good goals from Barrowman and Wilkie. Hopefully the first of many for both of them. Bring on the next round!

Winning can be infectious and I hope that is the case for our team. Motherwell is a double edged sword. Too good for us but do not bring enough supporters to fill the Almondale. Hopefully we do well enough to earn a draw.
