ICT have granted Barnsley permission to speak to Butcher about taking the job down there. www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/20934863Tough decision for him though - he's done a cracking job with ICT and has got them sitting second in the SPL just now. Potential to guide them into the Europa League if they can keep up their form from the first-half of the season. The ceiling is a lot higher in England mind you so the lure of the Championship might outweigh a couple of games in the Europa League next season. Think ICT will be hoping he stays. Interesting to see where he ends up.

Did he not do terrible the last time he went down south to manage? Seems as though all managers in scotland are keen to make the move down south at the first chance.
See Barnsley are bottom of the league but only four points from safety - i reckon if he goes there and they go down, he'd get sacked in the summer.
