Ah, I forgot how good it was to score a cheeky wee last minute goal against them in the last game at Almondvale. I think that they will be a bit too strong for us as they are really gunning for the title now. I think we should be happy if we could maybe get a draw out of them. Or maybe a last minute winner.

We're 13 points behind Partick so even a win tomorrow would still mean we'd have to catch 10 points on them in 9 games and that's without even thinking about Morton.
However, a Livi win tomorrow blows the title race right open between the current top two and would go a long, long way to securing us 3rd place.
We're in decent form with a couple of good wins over Airdrie and Raith so will hopefully go there with a bit of confidence. Hopefully we don't show them much respect, get right up and at them and try to dictate the game ourselves as opposed to sitting back and letting them bring it to us.
We can pass teams off the park so as long as we keep a hold of the ball, shift it quickly and the midfield get up to support Beanie, we'll give ourselves a right good chance.
In saying that, they haven't conceded a goal in their last five games so they'll be desperate to keep that run up. I'm confident our attackers are good enough to the business against any defence in this league though.
Don't imagine it'll be pretty but hoping to see us battle for a hard earned win.

This game aside, looking at the remaining games, I don't think there's any we shouldn't be realistically expecting 3 points from. Morton we have at home and the aways are against the lowly teams.
Let's take 3 points here tomorrow then start the title charge!

Talbot out to cause shock on Firhill visit
By CALUM LESLIE
JASON TALBOT has set his sights on three points from Firhill tomorrow – but the
Livingston defender knows just how tough a challenge Partick Thistle will provide.
The Lions travel to Glasgow to face a title-chasing Thistle team who have won 13 of their 14 home matches this season, but Livi are looking to make it three wins in a row.
Talbot says the West Lothian side’s players are desperate to get going again, after a tough spell of winter weather put paid to matches against Falkirk and Hamilton in the past seven days.
A win would put third-placed Livi on 46 points, ten behind the Jags in second spot.

I hope it's warmer through there than it is in Livingston! It's cold enough for Polar bears here! I'll start the car to get it heated up just now before we leave at half one. ;D

Just in. Still a bit shell shocked. Yes, the ref was simply awful for us, but even withstanding his ineptness we were given a good old fashioned seeing to this afternoon.
Thistle were stronger in the tackle, better with their passing and clinical up front.
The ref gave them a pen for the first. Never a pen. Looked to hit Watson's chest. Their third looked two, maybe three yards offside.
Decisive, game changing, decisions given against us at crucial points in the game.
I hope the players and management (new?) get a chance to sit down and go over the game as apart from maybe the first 5 to 6 minutes of the 2nd half we we barely looked at the races. There's got to be a reason for that apparent lack of aptitude when we know the team can play so much better than that.
Hope the Hamilton game is on on Wednesday so that we can pump them and get today out of our system.

Sensed before the game all was not well in the camp. Current management team out on the park while the club chairman & CEO in the dressing room?
Seems strange to announce or leak the new management team will be announced on Monday a few hours before KO. I am assuming its not Burke so it may have had an effect on the players & hence the performance.
Ah, we'll the best part today was the 'almost' boxing match between a Livi & Partick fan. :-)

Cruise control for Archibald
ALAN Archibald is making this management lark look pretty easy.
After leading his side on a six-game unbeaten run to earn himself the Partick Thistle manager's position on a full-time basis, he celebrated his appointment in style yesterday as the Jags cruised past Livingston at Firhill to remain within striking distance of Irn-Bru First Division leaders Morton.

Pedros first post about the game aligns with what is wrong with the league structure and what will continue with 12 12 18. In a normal league structure third place is still an active position to be in. Be it a play off position or direct promotion there is still life in being third. In our current set up we have had nothing to play for in reality since the start of March. It looks like Pedro has notice a foot off the pedal issue. We also have a series of poorer results against full time teams, check through our results and you will discover that the majority of our points come from PT teams. Not such a rosey picture but if analysised correctly can be improved.

I don't know if I fancy watching the highlights having already seen the real thing in person on Saturday :-(
From what I remember on Saturday - the penalty didn't look like hand ball, the second goal looked offside, the 3rd one took a bit of a dodgy skip off the turf right infront of Andy and the 4th one seen the ball roll towards a player who was offside, our players switched off thinking the call would be made and it wasn't and another player ran on and teed up the goalscorer.
On top of that, we had a good penalty shout turned down as per the picture above, Sparky missed a great chance shortly after Watson scored and young Mullen clipped the post at 5-1.
Don't get me wrong, we didn't deserve anything out of the game but when luck isn't on your side to that extent - deary me. had the handball not been given and the possible two offsides had, that game is completely different. Add to that, the horrible wee bobble that deceived Andy - on another day, that's straight in his hands. Beanie could have had his penalty and McNulty and Mullen stuck those chances away.
6-1 is a right royal pumping but such a shame that on the same day, ALL of those things went against us.
We certainly missed Scougall's creativity going forward too. Hope he's back in on Wednesday. I wonder if Jesus will get the nod ahead of Watson in defence. It would be hard to complain about being dropped after 6-1 drubbing. In saying that though, we haven't had many clean sheets this season and we did with Watson and Barr at CB away to Raith before the Partick game.
Anyway, a horrible day out at Firhill. Forget it, move on and hopefully make amends vs Hamilton infront of a whopping 10,000 crowd thanks to the £5 deal...
...mibbie no'! ;-)
