Bobby Burns on loan from Hearts. livingstonfc.co.uk/lions-land-burns/Looks like he can play in a variety of positions so may be a utility player. Unless he does really well and forces his way into our team anyway. Hearing James Brown is going back to Millwall.

And another one today this time on loan for 6 months... James Brown - not sure “I feel good” about this one though... from what I can see he’s only 20 & is a defender. Not sure I’m seeing any value in bringing in an inexperienced defender for 6 months unless he’s better than the guys we already have... which I doubt. Its only back up for under 21 not for first team, I believe. That being the case, why did he start against Celtic? He had only just arrived, hadn’t played a competitive game & was the weakest link on the day. Yet another odd decision by the ex-manager. Furthermore, I see no value in bringing guys on loan if they aren’t going to play... there is no benefit for the parent club, loan player or the club getting the loan.

I suspect that James Brown wasn’t known to KM specifically, but recommended by a friend or agent. Bobby Brown seems to have some credentials so I imagine he’ll come here for game time. Makes me think about some of the players on the fringes, such as McMillan, Blues, Knox and so on, who’ll now be unlikely to get a place on the bench - especially when Sibbald and Hardie come back from injury. With KM and Brown off the books, and Lawson, Menga and Burns having come in, I wonder if we are now finished with incoming players? Surely some of the fringe players would welcome game time on loan. They all need to play or they’ll miss valuable development time. What is clear - there are likely to be some players moved out (or moved on) before Friday’s deadline because it feels as though we have more than we can keep happy.

We also have the reserve team to populate though, so some squad players that don’t get game time should be eligible for that.

Lamie has extended his contract until the end of next season - excellent news, he has been a strong addition to the side.

Ryan hardie been recalled by rangers. And they will probably loan him out again but not to us. They should be morally obliged to let us have him given the fact we took him on loan still injured. This confirms loan was only until Jan but speculates he could still come back...

Bobby Burns has gone back to Hearts & as no one has mentioned it... Knox is away to Berwick on loan & Saunders is away to Partick properly transferred.

Mate of mine (rangers fan) has heard rumours that Hardie is heading to dundee for the rest of the season as part of a deal to get the pre contract boy early.

I find that a little amusing given the rumours pre-season that Kenny Miller wanted to be our 1st choice striker ahead of Hardie even when he returned to fitness. But it wouldn’t surprise me.

Chris Erskine in from Plastic Whistle on 18 month deal. Was he the guy they risked his fitness on in the second leg of the play off final?

Not a new signing but it almost feels like it... Rafa gof half an hour of game time for the reserves against East Stirlingshire & grabbed a goal into the bargain. Rumour has it that Ryan Hardie was watching the game in a Livi tracksuit....no idea if it’s true or not.

Report: Ryan Hardie refuses to join Dundee in potential Kamara swap
It's claimed that Hardie, who was just recalled from a loan at Livingston, would prefer to head back to Livi rather than join Dundee on loan for the rest of the season.

Read an online report in one of the daily rags that dress themselves up as the Scottish press - he isn't quoted as saying anything about Livi but does bang on about his love for Thistle and the fans and hopes they will remember him fondly. If he could forget about them now and maybe focus on his new employers that would be great.

If true that's a right slap in the face to that big club in blue on the Tay. #lol

Hearing Big Dec is away, possibly this week before cup game. Motherwell and st Johnstone are in for him. Can’t compete with these teams for wages.

If true that would be a massive blow to our season. Through one of his family that works with my wife. He wants to go this week apparently. One of the clubs have a offer on the table for him to move this week. Think it’s safe to say he’d def be away at end of season anyway. Would leave us very short at the back if he left this week. A blow but certainly not irreplaceable.

I spoke to someone at the club today and there was no mentioned Gallagher leaving or any offer for him. If he did leave, Lanier is there and there’s cover with Van Shaik. I think Byrne leaving is more likely and would be more damaging. But Gallagher is a great strength for us. Hardie coming back is fantastic news. It’s been an excellent transfer window for us so far. Hardie, Erskine and Wylde all in, with nobody from the first team leaving.......yet........

St J made formal approach for Dec, paying a fee in January looks to be good news for us keeping him until end of season. Think he’s 100% away in the summer however with offers on table from what I was told. St J, Motherwell. A pity we can’t compete financially with these teams.
