We knew what we had to do yesterday and glad that we stuck to the task and sealed another important win.
We spoke a fair bit after the game about what we all done well so I'll not bore everyone with that again. Great team showing - solid all over and a well deserved 3 points.
Jordan made a couple of big saves to keep the game tight, back line didn't give their front men any time to settle, midfield were all over the place to win possession and shut down attacks and the strikers grabbed 5 between them - good day at the office.
Was good to see Chris back from injury and teaming up with Tom in the midfield battle. Thought Scudge had a good showing at RM given he's unfamiliar with the position. McGinty was big and brave at CB and won most of his duals in the air. Both Kev and Dean were excellent too - didn't step out of line once, got up and supported the wingers and distributed the ball superbly. Crackign cross from DCP for the 4th goal and was good having Steve showing some fight and heart when he came on.
MotM - Richie. Great delivery for Mark's goal, beauty of a free kick for the second and set me up for one, possibly two of my goals. Goals aside, he put in a great shift creating chances for fun and giving their boys no time on the ball. When we lost Tom, he dropped into the middle and made sure we shored up in there to see out the game. Another top showing from a top player.
Donkey - Tom. Not for the sending off but for the chat with the ref outside the changies afterwards. Priceless.
Ref - "If I had a pound for everytime someone questioned a decision..." Tom - interupting - "Well you'd have had a few pound from me today!"
Haha! ;D

For me their was 4 outstanding performances...Dave, Ritchie, mark and Kev but I'm gonna give it to Dave for the 4 goals but also when we went down a man he did all the donkey work upfront and still manage to bag too...well done mate
Donkey has to go to Tom for the chat to the ref

Really enjoyed the game yesterday and was good to get another chance up top. Thought we played well and apart from the first 15 minutes of the second half I would say we dominated the match. Fair play to Clyde for coming out and making a game of it in that short spell.
Thought Mark won everything in the air at the back and was always alert and sweeping in behind his fellow defenders. Still seen us play better at the back in previous games though and we were sloppy at times. Wullie you have came back into the side and claimed your centre back spot, keep putting in the effort!
Chris had a good game in the middle and his workrate seems to double or even treble when he is put into the "engine room", wokred along side Tom and won us back posession. Special mention to Scudge as well put in a cracking shift at Right Mid and is showing Tom there is a lot of competition in the side just now.
MOTM - Has to go to fellow striker on this occasion, the reasojn I was getting on the ball so much and getting a lot of space was because I was working of the scraps that were falling from Dave winning every header up front. Put in a good shift as well at working back and led the line well on his own when I had to slot back into CM.
Donkey - Paul for having a Rangers towel, closely followed by Tom for getting sent off, arguing with the ref AFTER hte game then telling us he had NO towel. In fact naw TOM your getting donkey for all of the above!

Like Richie I really enjoyed the game, was buzzing coming off. Winning is awesome A couple of mentions from me go to to... Jordan - I think he claimed every cross that he could, handling was excellent and also swept up behind us a couple of times too. Really took the pressure off so much appreciated! Scudge - not too familiar playing where he was but my job was a lot easier as he put in a monster shift covering back, rarely was I left 1 on 1, and we swapped seamlessly a couple of times so I could go for a wander. Another thing I loved was just after Tom was sent off, Richie taking the initiative to drop back into that holding midfield role and Dave saying something along the lines of "just hoof it up, I'll keep chasing". So the two forwards - I think 4 goals scored between them at that point - not just sitting back thinking they've done their job but still working hard for the team when it's needed. That's why we are where we are. Effort lads. Oh, and Richie's free kick and Wullie's 80 yard assist. MOTM: Dave for me, yet again tireless shift up front and 4 goals to boot. Could easily have let his head go down after the ball got stuck under his feet from Richie's cross and that chance was missed, but instead got on with it and got his reward. Donkey: I know it was two way on Saturday but Jordo's constant noising up of the opposition really annoys me. Don't rise to it mate, just keep putting in the cracking performances you have been. Old Cliche - do your talking on the pitch.

Sorry for late reply.
Another example of us taking the game straight to the other team. Perhaps a little frustration set in as the 'keeper, yet again was keeping them in it. Easily their best player. With no disrespect to the rest of their squad. He just very clearly plays to as high a standard as any keeper I've seen in any league I've played in.
Bar 15 minutes of crazy, in which I was guilty of causing some chaos..earning my first ever booking for a tackle...( I got the ball though ), I thought we were dominant and efficient. Good movement and awareness and some tremendous energy from wide players (midfield and defence alike ).
MoTM - I'd probably go for Kev. Couple nervy moments as they aren't bad coming forward.. where a diving header or a timley tackle helped calm everyone and set us into our stride. Very very well done. Credit too though to everyone in what was another spirited, united, team performance. Big performances turned in from EVERY player.. each pulling their weight and more. And well done to Dave on 4 more cracking goals and an incredibly tough shift at the end. Going alone to ensure the stability of the midfield..and STILL not giving up knocking on a chasing. Tremendous.
Donkey..Would have been me, but I was saved by Tom, who was in turn saved by Paul 'Orange' Miller.

Really really enjoyed this match and if im honest i was a bit weary of the opposition after we only managed to win 2-1 at home the previous week. Thought we had a slightly weakened team but credit to us we got off to a flyer and only really had a tough spell for the first 10 minutes after half time when their screamer pulled it back to 2-1. Thought everyone played really well and when we get the ball on the deck and pass it around nobody can live with us. Good that we also have the option of punting it to dave and letting him power his way through on goal.
MOTM - Has to be Dave for his 4 goals altho everyone put in a mammoth shift and fair play to everyone who made the effort to come along to the away game. Special mention to richie kay for that pirloesque freekick. Your always dangerous from the edge of the box and its wonderful to have a setpiece specialist in the team.
Donkey - Got to be Tom, after he got his yellow card, i told him not to get another one (this after him telling me not to react to them pulling and kicking me in the box in the first half!), nevertheless he didnt listen and found himself on the touchline. GS' very own Balotelli...Tomotelli!
Lets push on and get a win in what is now our biggest game of the season vs Hearts. f**k Gorgie.

Baws Chris.
The ref was looking to send someone off soon as he fvcked up with their lad. Ref was a class A bell. The first yellow was after one of their players came flying in at me, but because I jumped out of the way and avoided the tackle, the ref felt that no extra words were needed - aye alright then ya reacharound . Second yellow was a foul but yellow card? No chance. I can't believe he booked Mark McGinty for as clear a tackle as you'll ever see either.
Dave & Richie ran the show. Ran it. Despite this I'm giving MoTM to Jordan. Been absolutley solid recently and does not get the credit he is due. Every part of his game was superb on Saturday and deserved a clean sheet. Nothing you can do about the goal they rasped in!

Motm - Not one bad performance on the park last Saturday from us. Will give my award to Mcginty, Got us going with an early goal from a great corner. And was solid in defence.
Donkey - They're guy that got sent off then blamed me ( whilst on the bench ) for getting him sent off haha
