If we've any ambition for this season we should be turning this lot over today!

Agree with Pedro. We need to be winning our home games against those sides that we'd hope will end up below us at the end of the season. That should include Dumbarton. Our away performances have been excellent and our counter attaching style is well suited to away days. But if we're patient today and maintain the high energy pressing that has served us incredibly well so far, I'm confident of a win. We look as though we can always score so it'll be interesting to see how we line up at the back without Declan Gallagher. I'm going 3-1 Livi.

Would imagine it'll be the same formation as usual, and either Toddy or McMillan will come in for Dec. I'd rather have Todorov up front with Mullen though but will depend if McMillan has impressed Hoppy enough for him to have confidence in the lad to start for us.
Either way we've plenty of options up front, and although Mackin doesn't impress me with his workrate and pace to help us press high up the pitch, he's scoring goals, and if he keeps on doing so then I can't complain really.

Got our moneys worth there anyway, what an end to the game, brilliant three points.
Thought we ran the show first half and should've gone in two or three goals up, actually thought we had scored a second but somehow it hadn't gone in and we had a corner instead. Another goal from a set piece too, we're fairly banging them in from set pieces this season.
Second half was a completely different game, Dumbarton were on the front foot and looking likely to equalise, which they eventually did. At that point I was convinced they'd go on to win it and was feeling sick. But no, this is Hoppy's team, and they don't give up, what a great set of players we have, so much determination and hard work and it paid off again.
Who needs a prolific goal scoring striker when everyone is chipping in, Lithgow and Halkett adding to our goals today, well done lads.
If we keep this up, and I see no reason why we can't, then a top four play off spot is definitely on.

Good win today ,really dug in and scored against the run of play ,a real positive . Negative point is mackin ,he's way out of his depth in this league ( no room for passengers) never thought id'e say this but Alexander must take the blame for today's goal ,going to ground far to early which he's been guilty of a couple of other times this season . 3 pts in the bag though which is most important as we needed a home win for the non travelling fans ( like me )

It was starting to look like a typical game between the teams... Us bossing the 1st half but only getting 1 goal to show for it. Then sitting too deep and handing them the initiative in the second half and once the finally equalised, which was fully deserved, it looked like another mugging was on the cards. But we somehow got to grips with the game again - to me it seemed to hinge on Keaghan Jacobs, once he got up to game speed he was exceptional.
Cadden going off didn't help our cause as we seemed to become very imbalanced and Mullin was getting exposed badly on the right with their number 10 (Walsh?) starting to run the game, including awarding a free kick when the ref didn't. Penrice had a decent game.
Our end of match game management was ugly to watch but we did it well and secured a hard fought win that gives us a nice wee cushion in 4th and touching distance of the leaders.
Well done lads

Well done lads Summed up nicely however I read in the press that DH would have settled for a point, Im sorry but thats not acceptable at this stage IMO. We should be looking at winning these games against Dumbartons, Brechin type teams. This league is very open we have a fantastic opportunity to get at the very least a play off place. That aside DH is proving himself to be a very talented manager and if results continue Im sure he will be in line for a career move.

By the time they scored I thought we'd have been lucky to get a point so can see why Hoppy said that, Dumbarton looked the more likely team to go on and win the game. They're an established Championship team too so I don't categorize them with Brechin, every season they prove everyone wrong and stay up, while quite recently teams like Livi, QoS, Raith, Dunfermline and Morton have been relegated.
Hoppy has said his aim is staying up and finishing 8th, I think we'll do a lot better than that myself but he obviously doesn't want the fans getting carried away with expectations and putting pressure on the players, it's working well for us too so good plan. Other teams managers, players and fans are in the press saying they're going to win the league or get a play off place, Livi are just rolling along climbing up the table and nobody is noticing we're here, or taking us seriously, hopefully they keep on doing so and underestimating us.
I actually think Hoppy is a strategic genius keeping us so low profile and even when we are sitting 4th he is sticking with 'our aim is being 8th' line in interviews. Brilliant bit of gamesmanship keeping the spotlight and pressure off Livi and keeping it on the teams around us.

I couldn't agree more. DH has certainly grouped together a pool of players which look capable of retaining their place in the Championship. It's early days, but DH should take the most credit for getting us back up at first time of asking, and for what looks like a decent run of form which could prove invaluable come the end of the season.
