On the face of it a really good result! I wasn't there but will be good to read the match report - apparently Neil Alexander made a couple of penalty saves in the shoot-out.

We played really well today and thoroughly deserved the draw in 90 minutes. We dominated the second half and we're the better side for much of that 45 minutes. Danny Mullen was excellent throughout and he seems to have taken his game to a new level. Like the look of Mullen and Carrick as a front pairing. Strong performances across the side and Keaghan was excellent for the entire game. Fantastic hat trick of saves by Alexander in the penalty shootout. If we play like that this season, we'll be absolutely fine. Great to watch at times. High energy. Great fitness. Good football. Spread the word and let's get more fans there!

We were a bit shaky to start with but after conceding the goal we pulled ourselves together and played much better. Unlucky to go in at half time a goal down after the disallowed goal and Pittman being through on goal. Didn't take us long to get a deserved equaliser though, superb goal by Keaghan, and he nearly got another one when Cerny back peddled to tip it over for a corner.
Hopefully we don't lose Mullen when he goes to Cardiff on trial, if we can keep this team together we'll be at least mid table this season. Alexander is a fantastic signing too, he'll be worth a few points with the saves he makes.

Like Pedro I wasn't there but that result and the evidence on the Vimeo footage suggests we are coming together very nicely. When Thistle went ahead inside 15 mins I feared the worst but it looks like we pulled it together, had the better of the match and fully deserved the bonus point from the penalty success.
Looks like it would have been an entertaining game to be at.

The difference when playing these Premiership teams are they only need a couple of chances to score a goal, so you can't afford to be making mistakes at the back. I think we only made about 3 mistakes that let them in on goal during that early spell but they stuck the 2nd one away, and Alexander saved the 3rd one before the ball was hit in our net from the rebound but was offside, you can get away with those against lower league teams.
2nd half though we were superb, high tempo passing the ball about and closing down players, and defended much better too. It was an entertaining game to watch Auldnick, end to end stuff for most of it.
