What's the chance of Livi eventually puting down a new playing surface for next season ,I know these pitches are expensive but if they went to the council and used the land where the training pitch is as a bargaining tool. Every second season we re-seed the pitch it seems but it's not working probably down to the location of the stadium ,the standard of football being watched on that pitch is terrible at times so maybe it's time to look into a change .

St Margarets own the pitch behind the ground.LFC have to rent it from them. All other land around the ground is earmarked for social housing called Almondvale phase 3 including the car parks to left of the stadium. There is ground opposite Lidels distribution which has been designated for a replacement ground circa 2000 capacity.

2000 capacity eh? So no ambition to play in the top tier in the future then.
I know our ground is far too big now but it was bouncing in our "heyday" - but if we ever want to play with the big boys again it still needs to be 6000 capacity as minimum.
It seems a long way off even this close to a possible return to second tier football but any serious club should at least aspire to wanting to progress to the highest level. That's what drove Ferranti Thistle into league football back in 74 and what drove Meadowbank out to Livingston around 20 years later. If we no longer have that drive then we better settle for perpetual mediocrity.

We dont have the luxury of investment and to be fair out with the old firm Scottish football is dying on its feet. We can sustain a smaller ground with minimal upkeep. This is not new news its been talked about for ages. Our saviour at Almondvale would be a core 3500 per home game and that aint gonna happen anytime soon. Plus WLC are desperate and I mean desperate too off load LFC.

Still think ground share with Livingston Utd would be a good option ,using any money from re positioning to upgrade the ground in deans .
