Didn't make Saturday v Stranraer but by all accounts we were the better team and got that wee bit of luck that title-winning teams need with the apparently clearly offside winner.
Hopefully a good display and a few goals tomorrow against Stenny!
There is supposed to be a bit of rain, ice and snow tonight and tomorrow so fingers crossed the club are protecting the pitch to ensure the game will be on!

I suspect game off with last nights weather unfortunatley Im not sure we have a groundsman too look after the pitch at the moment
On a positive side I would think the Alloa game will also be off at Brechin so lets hope for better weather for Saturday.
The club have not even announced a boardroom winner for tonight so that suggests off already😥😥😥

Boardroom winner was announced before the original match date last month, I would suggest they would honour that announcement whenever the match takes place. As regards it being on or off tonight... I suspect you are right on that score. You never know in this country of ours though, the sun could be splitting the trees by early afternoon. It won't be but it could happen.

I stand corrected with boardroom winner but weather is scheduled to clear this afternoon so here is hoping...

Buchanan was definitely onside yep. He's had a few goals chopped off when he was onside though, and Mullin's was onside too when his goal against QP was wrongly chopped off by the lino, so was about time we got a lino getting it right. Pitch inspection at 4pm for tonight's game, the sun is out and has cleared all the snow away so fingers crossed it will go ahead.

The game is on then, pitch inspection was cancelled.
Lets do this mob and hopefully Brechin will take something from their game against Alloa too. Mon the Lions.

Well I was nearly right it was splitting the trees by mid morning!!

We were by far the better side for around 60-70 minutes and should have been around 5 goals up. They bossed the last 20 but never seriously threatened to equalise. The win is the most important thing especially with Alloa getting a late winner.

Yeah we could've been out of sight by HT, actually was thinking it was going the same way as the East Fife game with us missing a couple of chances in the first five minutes, thank goodness Todorov got a goal and we saw out the game to get all three points. We allowed Stenny to come at us in the last few minutes by dropping back and giving them freedom in midfield, Hoppy made substitutions to see out the game and that's what we did. Was a bit nervy right enough and it shouldn't have been but we got the points anyway.
If we started sticking half the chances away we're creating we'd be skooshing games just now, lest hope we stick four or five past Airdrie on Saturday and have a nice relaxing afternoon watching Livi getting another win.

Yeah, that's what the substitutions were eventually for but it is asking for trouble when you allow teams that much space. We had been doing fine by getting forward and going at them, they weren't really causing any major problems that we were failing to deal with in our original set up. Todorov was starting to really be a pest for them when he got subbed. Also, we nearly paid for it numerically when Mullen got injured, he deserves credit for limping through the last 15 minutes, hopefully he hasn't done any more damage to the injury. TBH I'd have subbed him before he got injured because although he was doing okay in possession he was wasteful in the final third of the pitch. It just wasn't his night in front of goal or in getting crosses in. So I'd have kept Toddy on and put Mullin on for Mullen, I'd also have switched Cadden for De Vita as he was tiring after being very good in the earlier stages.
There was a wee spell where bad bounces caused us problems, you could see the ball either getting a dead bounce or taking a bobble on a rough piece of pitch (it was in better condition than I expected but still cut up as the game progressed) and some of the home fans immediately berating the player concerned. I really wish they would open their eyes, switch on their brains and think before moaning about everything that doesn't go smoothly through no real fault of the players.
Even heard some "sage" saying "No wonder naeb'dy comes" during the spell in which we were shutting up shop. To be fair I thought we started that a bit early on the night but on the whole this team has been good to watch, especially in the first half of the season, which is why we are where we are & why our GD is currently effectively worth a point.

Yep we did shut up shop a bit too early and gave ourselves quite a chunk of the game to have to hold out for, but I remember us being 1-0 up against Cowdenbeath and firing a ball into the box from a corner when we had about 5 minutes left and then losing a goal on the counter to drop 2 points. We're at least showing we can see out a game and are using the head a bit to get all 3 points. If we'd stuck half of our chances away it wouldn't have had to end the way it did either, with us making changes to hold onto our slim lead, and that isn't Hopkin's fault. We had our chances to make it 2,3,4,5 or even 6 nil, we didn't take them so Hopkin made a decision to hold onto what we had and we did so. If we'd conceded a goal he'd have got stick for it but we didn't so some folk need to get off his back.

If the team were 4 or 5 up at half time no one would be able to argue with that at all. I thought we were going to get punished for all the missed chances. A really good first half and team dug in well second half. Thought halkett and byrne stood out again and have arguably been our 2 best players last few month. Dec was very good also last night strolled it.
