.........apparently suspended for 8 games for betting breaches.
Could have done without the controversy and the loss of a key player for several important games.

At least the club isn't held responsible for players doing this and isn't getting any points deducted. Also a good job we signed Millar in January, he can take over Byrne's position.

Really can't believe players do this knowing the rules of the situation. Even if he has a "problem" basic common sense says stay away from betting on football.

Hope this ban gets reduced as you can see how important he is to the team. Stupid mistake he's made but he's been through hell at such a young age. His mother died recently and I'm sure I've seen somewhere his dad passed away when he was young boy
