Big game this weekend. If we can win it, I'd like to think that we'd have killed off Airdrie's title chances. That would leave Alloa as the main threat but, even so, we're in a fantastic position at this stage of the season. The artificial surface ought to help us too. I'm confident of victory tomorrow and we (usually, bearing in mind last week's game) look capable of scoring. We are even stronger on our away trips. 3-1 to us.

Can't help feeling like we are due to drop something against one of our main rivals for promotion. Hope I'm wrong & that we give this shower a right good tanning but I fear a 2-1 defeat.

1-0 up at half time thanks to Crighton's 34th minute goal.... Here's hoping we can hold on to that & increase the lead if possible.

My hope has been realised at the expense of my fear; we have given that shower a right good tanning after all. 4-0 with subs doing well in the 3rd & 4th. Well done to the team & well done to the management team for making good use of the bench.

We picked the right game to have our best performance of the season, superb second half from Livi. Crighton's goal was some volley, goal of the season contender. Deflection from Millar's shot for our 2nd. Mullen's first touch set himself up for a lovely curling shot past the keeper, and nice ball through to him from Todorov. The build up play for our fourth goal was probably the best of all, Todorov and Rafa involved and Cadden finishing it off with a nice headed goal at the far post. Big Todorov could've added a fifth goal too, did all the hard work holding off three defenders and knocking Mensing out the way, then dragged his shot wide, I was willing the big man on to score.
Just shows what we can do on a decent pitch, back to the tattie field on Tuesday night for our game against Rovers. Mon the Lions.

Mensing is bald and sĀ£ite, fact. How Beany lasted 90 mins after one atrocious challenge , a couple of questionable ones plus usual constant carping at anyone close by beats me. Best 45 minutes of the season that 2nd half was. When we get the ball on the deck we can destroy any team in this league and frequently have. Everyone gets a pass mark but Halkett won every challenge and was my m.o.m. Well done boys.

our second half performance was the best in 2 years, we destroyed them, Crightons goal was brilliant, he wont get another like that (hope he does ha ha), great noisy support there today but where are they at the home games ?, good substitutions by Hopkins, would like to see more of Todorov who led the line well when he came on, hope for a good crowd on Tuesday, the team deserves it

What a wonderful afternoon. Entertaining, quality football from Livi and that was as good a display as we've seen from the team in many a day. The second half performance was outstanding and Airdrie were lucky to restrict the score line to 4-0. Halkett was immense at centre back, our midfield ran the show and we looked as though we could score every time we went forward. The gao between the sides was enormous. Our bench was very strong and we're missing Mikey Miller, Keaghan Jacobs and Dale Carrick through injury or being loaned out. Bizarrely, our results against the other leading sides is tremendous but our performances against the so-called lesser teams is less impressive. Ithe league would be over by now if we'd beaten Queens Park, Stranraer, Albion Rovers and Peterhead at home! So, no room for complacency this week when we have two home games against the teams in 7th and 10th. Professional job will give us 6 points and the chance to extend our lead at the top with only 10 games to play. Things are looking very good.

Looking past this season I'd be keen to see the nucleus of this time have a good go at the Championship. Defence looking sturdy, midfield creating and scoring and we've been lethal up top. Only was is up!

Title should be wrapped up by March 25 strangely at Home to Airdrie might be before then depending on results else where. 30 points to play for 12 points ahead 15 by Tuesday means 4 more straight wins and its league title number 6 think that makes us the only club outwith Celtic to win more league titles in past 20 years.
No doubt will be corrected somewhere along the line.

Aye, you're wrong.... We currently have 12 games left, which is 36 possible points. Even if we win on Tuesday night, we will be 15 clear of Alloa who will still have 36 points available. Assuming 4 straight wins for us after that we'd have 7 games left (21 points available) - give Alloa the same 5 wins and the gap will still be 12 points. So although it would require a monumental collapse, we would not be official champions before playing Airdrie again.
Right now, Alloa can get a maximum of 74 points (38 in the bag, 36 more IF they win them all). So mathematically we need 25 points to ensure we can't be caught. Arguably 24 given our superior GD but if Alloa were able to win 12 in a row (they won 10 matches in a row across all competitions at the start of the season) then they could eat into our GD advantage. Unlikely but theoretically possible. So at the moment we need 8 wins and a draw.
In reality, it will probably be less points required as Alloa are unlikely to win 12 in a row (though not impossible given that 10 game run).
In simple terms, if we win our games then nothing else matters.
