I see that young Knoxy has been asked back to Old trafford next week to train with the first team and continue the trial that he was unable to complete last time (when he injured his foot in training at Carrington). When I saw him signing a contract extension recently, the cynic in me assumed that the club was definitely ready to cash in on the interest being shown in him. Either way, I'd like to wish him the very best of luck and hope that he is able to fulfil his undoubted potential. If it's not at Livi, then somewhere other than the Old Firm would be fine by me!

Wouldn't miss him if he was sold. I keep looking to see what all the fuss is about him but haven't seen anything, hasn't shown any sign of exciting ball skills that we got from the likes of Snoddy, Dorrans, Griffiths, Scougall etc. I mean you got on the edge of your seat when they were on the ball, knowing that they had something special about them. Knox is still a very young player and may well be a good player, I just haven't seen it yet.

I note the fee is £150,000 I thought the idea of the two and half year deal was so we could cash in on him? Forgive me but that amount is hardly going to pay the interest on our increasing debt!

So far he has shown he has a decent but not consistently excellent delivery but never looks confident with the ball at his feet and taking someone on. The players you list had a bit of self belief about them that meant they looked confident when in possession, it didn't always work but they were always prepared to try something. I just don't see that with Knox & if we were seeing it then I think he'd have made more appearances.

And what exactly is the going rate for a 16/17 year old with very limited 1st team experience that isn't getting a regular game in the third tier of Scottish football?

Any word on how young Knoxy got on at his Man Utd trial? Will be be cashing in on his potential? Let's face it - we could do with the cash and it would be a great chance for him to get access to the best possible coaching for kids his age.

Or for him to disappear into a massive machine never to be seen again.

I'm not sure how young Knoxy performed at his latest Man United training session, however I see that Sunderland are keen to take him on trial. Interesting.
