It's a gale force wind here so I can only imagine what it's going to be like at Bayview, where three sides of the pitch are exposed to the weather. Arguably, the wind cost us the game earlier in the season when we couldn't deal with high balls over the top on a similar day. If the wind doesn't die down, I'd rather the match was postponed than watch the lottery of a game dominated by Mother Nature. With a keeper capable of scoring in the first half and unable to get his goal kicks to clear his penalty area in the second half, it makes for exciting stuff - but could affect our ability to win the game. If it does go ahead, I'm sure last week's home defeat to Queen's Park will have hurt our boys and they'll be doubly determined to put that right today.

Hmmm. If the wind is giving us difficulty dealing with the ball over the top... move the defence back a step or two.
Frankly, if it needs us to park the bus against a howling wind then we should do it, points are more important than performance in poor conditions.

As predicted, the wind was the winner again yesterday. It was a shocker of a game as a result, totally devoid of any coherent play from either side. The weather influenced the outcome yet again and I'd have been happy for it to have been postponed. I'm not just saying that because we lost. I'd have said the same if we had won - and spoke about it before the game and again at half time when we were ahead. I felt sorry for all of the players, but mostly for those who'd paid to watch a farce of a match. I was surprised that we didn't play with any real width, contrary to the way we've played all season. Cadden was absent altogether and Mullin only came on when it was too late. Hopefully the result will wake everyone up to the fact that there are no easy games and that every other team in the league has the ability to work harder than us!

Not good enough. Martindale and Hopkin, I mean.

The wind was the same for both teams and it was there the last time we visited. livi lost the game not the wind causing us to lose. Crighton was a bombscare yesterday i also don't see what good it does having Hopkin bellow at the players then disappears once the second goes in. We we got found out again yesterday!

Totally agree you can't blame the wind for livi losing this game blame the keeper results recently are not good enough.whats more annoying as a fan alloa Brechin or Airdrie have not took a point of us so far this season .Our home for is poor at times that's 2 defeats to both Queens Park and east Fife that's not good enough 6 defeats already this season it's not going to be easy but I still believe over the season we will win the league.we have the best squad in the league I think it's hard to take losing our last 2 games after building up a 10 point league you expect to build on it come tomorrow could be down to 4 depending on Airdrie result

Well we got away with this defeat, with both Airdrie and Brechin losing today the gap is still 7 points. Hopefully we can get back on track next week and beat Peterhead, both Brechin and Airdrie have tough away games and we have a good opportunity to extend our lead back to 10 points, if we can get the win.
