I see that Scott Pittman is in the team of the year so far across all four leagues in Scotland. He is such a consistently strong performer for us and he regularly puts in man-of-the-match performances. He seldom gives the ball away, he creates chances, he routinely wins possession for us in the middle of the park and he has added goals to his game this season. He's as fit as a fiddle too, competing tirelessly in every game. That begs the obvious question; how long can we realistically expect to hold onto him? Surely some team playing at a higher level will come calling sooner rather than later?!

Where did you see that Col? (I'm not disputing it just interested)
I've been saying since the first few games of the season that I wouldn't be surprised to see a bigger club coming in for him in January but hopefully the lack of rumours to that effect mean we will have him for this season at least. Of course if he is contracted beyond this season then potential suitors may wait until he is available to sign a PCA rather than risk spending money on what would be a relatively untried player at a higher level... Despite his outstanding performances, they are taking place in the third tier and his experience of second tier was a season and a half of fighting relegation.
That said, I totally agree & we need to make sure we enjoy seeing him give his all for the Livi cause each week until that day comes.

He's a great wee player for us, no doubt!
I do think he could influence games more, though, especially in this (even) lower league.
He's certainly got the ability to shine at a higher level than where we're at right now.
I think it's just a case of hoping that whoever currently 'owns' Livi decides to build around him for the future rather than pocketing a quick buck at the first offer.

It is on the SPFL website: spfl.co.uk/news/article/team-of-201617-so-far/I see Toni Andreu's name up there too, we should have had him signed up on a new contract and we'd have made a few quid on him, hopefully we get Scotty signed up for another couple of years.

He wins the ball, he passes it to team mates, he creates chances & has scored a few goals. What more can he do? What he needs is team mates with the same work ethic & never-say-die attitude.

There is no doubt he is 100% committed on match days. I think the quality of his final ball is poor at times, but if it was consistently much better he wouldn't be at Livi and the one thing I would like to see more from Scotty is just have a good. Like to see him leather it more towards goal

Can't say I've noticed his final ball going astray, will have to look out for it more. For me he's everything that people used to say about Liam Fox, only he actually does the dirty work, and it does get noticed. I think since De Vita signed Pittman has dropped back a bit to do all the grafting winning the ball back and moving forward with it, but isn't as far up the pitch as he used to be to have shots at goal.

Just to be clear he would be in my team every week. I just think he should take more shots on goal when he has the opportunity.

I think he takes shots on more than most; I also think he doesn't always shoot because, being in the thick of it & actually seeing what is in front of him rather than being a spectator in the stand who isn't seeing what the player really has in front of him, he can tell that it is more likely to be blocked than find the target. His final ball? Again, IMO, he is often seeing things before his team mates.
He is my player of the season so far, whoever recommended that we take the risk of bringing him here from the juniors has a good eye for a player & I hope we are still using his/her services.
I understand no one is saying he is not a decent player but given the level we are at, the level of coaching he is getting & where he has come from... We shouldn't expect perfection & instead appreciate what we do have, frankly, a gem of a player who epitomises "team first" - I just hope we still have him next season.
