Will the headlines after the game read, "Man dead, from Peterhead. Dog for sale."?

I'm expecting nothing less than a convincing victory tomorrow. I'm expecting nothing less than a game of football.... I wonder who'll be most disappointed just before 5pm? Seriously... I expect Peturheid to sit in and try to frustrate us. I've really only been disappointed with our efforts in one game this season, losing to Albion. I didn't see the losses at Hampden or Methil. I think we should be good enough to win but I will not expect anything other than 100% effort from the guys who cross the white line.

We really can't defend, all three of the centre-halfs looked shaky today. I think Peterhead had two shots on target throughout the game, and sat back as soon as they went ahead.
In fairness, we deserved to win that game by a mile - it was one way traffic for most of the game. Danny Mullen had two gilt-edged chances which on another day he would score. Disappointing to lose that, as it now means Airdrie are closing the gap on us at the top.

We were the better team but it was just one of those days when we couldn't put the ball in the net. We weren't helped either by some shocking refereeing.

Seeing a few comments about the manager Hopkin but what about the guy beside him in the dugout who makes all the decisions down there?

I would say how the hell did we lose that game but we've gone off the boil in front of goal and didn't take any of our numerous chances in the first half. Second half we're throwing more and more players forward, which gave Peterhead the chance to hit long balls up the pitch to their lone striker to chase, odds on they'd get a chance or two to hit us on the counter with a sucker punch.
Still, Buchanan pulled one back with 10 mins plus injury time to score again and salvage a point but we didn't really push on to do so and the game got bogged down, which suited Peterhead.
We're playing well in attack so hopefully things will start clicking in front of goal again soon. There is still a long way to go till the end of the season, and we've hit our first bump with back to back defeats. Next week gives us another beak from the league with a difficult cup game against Airdrie and to try and get things going in front of goal again.

Seeing a few comments about the manager Hopkin but what about the guy beside him in the dugout who makes all the decisions down there? Such a silly thing to say. You clearly have a problem with Martindale, for whatever reason, and that's your prerogative. But I don't believe your comment has any basis in fact. You simply can't make these assertions without providing any evidence. Your prejudices aren't helpful but, not doubt, they make you happy. Back to the important matter - the game. We were clearly the better team, particularly in the second half, and we created a lot of chances. The Danny Mullen miss from 6 yards was a shocker and, on another day, we would have won by a few. These are the games we need to be winning if we are to win this league. Let's hope we raise our game next week at Airdrie. We'll need to do that if we're to win.

I wasn't at the game but a sore defeat by the sounds of it.
I know the usual faces will have a pop but, in my opinion, it's a disgrace when we get beaten by part-time teams. I've always thought that.
The boy livibudgie/livimoaner used to have some stats regarding our absolutely terrible record over the years against full-time teams but we hardly cover ourselves in glory when up against teams cobbled together with plumbers, brickies and forklift operators either.

Undoubtedly the better team yesterday and if we'd taken even just half of our chances, we'd have won by 3 or 4. Sometimes you have those days.
Scottish Cup duty next week - looking forward to it already!

Hi, usual face here. Aye thon Rory McAllister is a plumber I hear. I also hear he is on a contract at Peterhead that more than a few full time teams couldn't afford. The full time/part time thing is not as clear cut as it once was with a lot of part time clubs spending as much as teams like Livi and Airdrie. We're not talking about coal miners finishing their shift at 12.00 and cycling down to the fitba pitch to play. Keeping fit these days with the plethora of gyms everywhere is easier than it once was. You're right though. We should have won that game cos we were the better team. On another day several of our near misses would have gone in. I'd be more worried if we had been rubbish. We weren't though. As you will know sometimes in fitba shit happens for a variety of reasons.

Yeah we've not really hit a bad patch where we're playing badly, we're playing well enough and creating chances but the goals have dried up, hopefully they'll start to flow again soon. I blame the Manager of the Month award curse. We'll see what happens to Airdrie next month when they win it.

Aye, we thrashed them 1-2. Peterhead scored both goals against the run of play, the also defended like bears when we got any chances and when we got through their defence we couldn't finish and they adapted to the heavy conditions better, especially when the pitch started cutting up. No home games for a month, so hopefully it gets a chance to recover.
Officials were worse than useless, failing to penalise innumerable overly heavy challenges & pushes in the back and being inept at identifying offside. Nothing directly influenced the goals we conceded but who knows what any of the unawarded free kicks we should have had could have led to. There was also an occasion in the first half where we would have had a clear advantage if he had let us keep going but he called it back for a free kick, which he didn't blow for until our player got clear and ready to set up an attack that would have seen us with a numerical superiority heading into their half.

Don't know how the team lost that game , probably best they have played all season certainly last month or so. Goals were very poor we lost. Don't know how Danny missed chance after great work by byrne. Need to be more clinical in front of goal. Very impressed by the midfield 3 of byrne miller and Pittman. The way they passed and moved was brilliant to watch. Glad to see byrne back in team probably one of his best games Saturday
