They used to be until TNS were taken over by BT and the sponsorship deal lapsed as a result. The club decided to retain the initials but renamed themselves the rather peculiar name they now have because prior to TNS sponsoring them the original club nickname was The Saints. They are a merged club with the original Llansantffriad (Church of Saint Bride - hence the Saints nickname) and Oswestry Town combining in 2003. Oswestry Town were an English club playing in Welsh league. So as they were not the original Saints, they became The New Saints. They have won 10 Welsh titles including the last 5 in a row. Their official name is the rather lengthy

Don't know what to make of this game, having looked up the Welsh Premier League standings, TNS have amassed 14 wins from 14, with 52 goals scored and 7 conceded - a brilliant record irrespective of the level of the league they're playing in.
Still fancy a home win tomorrow, though.

It is an excellent record, add in a cup win and beating Forfar as well and they have 16 wins out of 16 in domestic and Scottish competitions. Winning breeds confidence regardless of who you are beating.

Good luck to the boys on the park today. It's a miserable afternoon so I'll be watching on Alba with the heating on.

Sitting in the pissing rain watching Livi getting reamed , i must be mad. Poor performance from us , i'd let Danny Mullen warm the bench for a few weeks , he needs to realise that he's got to put the effort in.

Beaten by the better team, they stepped up their game and put a concerted effort in attack leading up to their goal then just picked us off as the game went on and we were forced into pushing up to try and get a goal. Was a bit like the Scotland game, we didn't score when we had a shot at their goal and they showed more quality up front to score 3 goals. Could've been more but we got lucky a couple of times.
Conditions didn't make it conducive to good entertaining football but we were well beaten, I think we could've played all night and not scored.

I don't think we were outclassed though, I thought we gave them a decent game until the 3rd which I confess I applauded it was such a superb finish. The flashing header from Rafa that their keeper clawed out the top corner was probably the closest we came to getting it in though, which was disappointing. I think the heavy pitch hindered us more than them as they adapted to the conditions better than us, they were the better side on the day but I thought 3-0 flattered them a bit.
