It's a big game again tomorrow, especially after the poor show last Saturday. With Brechin playing away at Stenhousemuir, three points for us would be good to keep in their shadow. Surely we need to get back to four at the back tomorrow. The last couple of attempts at playing 3 centre backs has left us woefully exposed in the full back areas and teams have exploited that fully - East Fife, even Peterhead and then Albion Rovers. We changed it, sometimes when it was too late, but looked more secure and creative with a back four. That might mean that the manager doesn't play both Cadden and Mullin from the start and now he'll want to squeeze Da Vita into the starting eleven if he's fit enough. As long as Pittman plays centrally in midfield, I feel confident that we've got goals from the middle of the park and up front. Width has brought us lots of promise and success so far. I'd like us to stick with that. Lichfield is eligible again (definitely this time). Home win 2-1. No sign of our first clean sheet of the season so far but I see us scoring enough to win.

Fans need to keep behind the team and give them as much support as possible. The players can clearly hear the fans frustration from the stands and will have an effect on them.
Tough game and going for 1-1

Lithgow has been given his real name again. I hate predictive text........

Alloa beat us here last season; they can do so again; I reckon they'll score twice & we won't

I see Stephen Finnie is today's referee. Our record of receiving favourable decisions is poor when he is the official. Having been given Craig Charleston last week, we're having our fair share of bad luck with appointments. A penalty against us and a red card for us today? What are the odds?

A well deserved and very satisfying victory of a dogged Alloa side!
I though we might have been haunted by the various hilt edged chances we'd squandered before we broke the deadlock but we were well worth the 3 points overall.
Having a fiver on a 3-1 Livi victory was the icing on the cake! 😁

Well you got the penalty shout right, probably would've got a red too if Mullen wasn't subbed, he was bursting to book Mullen after having a word with him and couldn't get his card out quick enough. Got quite scrappy after a decent start from us and we had to work hard for the win, thoroughly deserved the points though and two wonderful goals by Buchanan, Rafa setting him up for his first one too. Mikey Miller with another long range goal for our first, think i'll stick a few quid on them both scoring against Alloa in our next game. Hopefully another win against Brechin next week and we'll go top of the league.

Agree that we deserved the win but Kelly made a few right good saves during the match while we didn't really make their keeper work hard enough with our failed chances. Lucky break with the deflection on Miller's goal but from that point on we were the better side and Buchanan scored a very fine brace. De Vita's pass for his first was a thing of beauty. Good second debut from Rafa; composed on the ball, can pick a pass and takes a decent corner.
