They weren't rubbish last season, Buchanan scored 17 goals for Alloa in the league. I'd say it was more the shape of the team and our tactics that are rubbish.

Dare I ask why no action at all seems to have been taken by anyone in charge DURING the game? Are we saying people can act with impunity during a game and nothing will happen? I took ill just before HT so didn't witness the shameful behaviour that went on, but from what I've read the stewards dealt with the main offender and the club is looking for names of those involved to take further action. The Livi FB page has names posted on it now so hopefully action will be taken against anyone found guilty of the racial abuse and fighting. At the last away game against Dumbarton the police were over at the same section of the ground having a word with some Livi fans, apparently homophobic abuse was heard being directed towards a player, no idea if it was the same fans that time but we do seem to have an element of trouble makers turning up pissed out of their skulls and causing trouble at away games. The club will end up getting fined if they don't sort it out and ban them.

How many shot went wide from good positions yesterday In those conditions everything was a bit hit and hope. Buchanan was out wide and White is being played in midfield, with Mullen as our main striker, that isn't exactly helping us score goals. edit*Kakay looks a good signing though and will get balls into the box and hit the bye line, we need to get White and Buchanan up front as our main two strikers though, we at last have a couple of wing backs that will get balls into the box from the bye line. Stanton was too deep too, was Fozzy injured? With Kakay, Fozzy Stanton and Telfer i'm sure we'll get service up to our strikers, Hopkin needs to play our two best strikers in position though.

Back to football why sign midfielder and fullbacks when we need a decent striker the four we have are rubbish Presumably to supply the ball for the strikers to have chances, as JS says they all managed to score last season. I take it your love for White is on the wain? Like I said after the Falkirk game, Mullen is the wrong player for a lone striker role, what's more, if you are playing with a lone striker you need the midfielders supporting him and getting beyond him or you will create nothing. All in all we need to get back to basics and play as a team. Pass to team mates, make selfless runs to create space for others or to get into good positions, getting crosses in and players gambling to get on the end of them, getting shots on target and following up on the rebounds. We have seen that our strikers can score even this season but we need midfielders and defenders chipping in with a few as well and we need the strikers to stop snatching at chances.

Defence leaking and a goal drought up front Thing is with a drought up front the defence can be tight but 1 goal against is enough to beat us.

Dare I ask why no action at all seems to have been taken by anyone in charge DURING the game? Are we saying people can act with impunity during a game and nothing will happen? Football has tried to cut costs by replacing Police with stewards. The stewards can try to do something but a couple of points. Stewards are not trained in self defence. stewards get no protection from the law, yes there is words in laws which say this and say that but in practical application the majority of assaults on stewards go without arrest and when they arrive at court result in unproven verdicts or nil punishments. It is the same for shop security, violence against staff is treated by the courts as an occupational hazard. Totally wrong.

A possible conversation: Son can I go to the football this week?
Before this story...I will think about but most likely yes.
After the story,,,NO.
Such behaviour costs future supporters it does not boost attendance as we need.

Such behaviour costs future supporters it does not boost attendance as we need. Or, yes but don't sit over beside the drunken idiots smashing vodka bottles and shouting racist remarks at our players. Seriously though, I've never been threatened or even felt threatened in the 19 years I've been going to Livi games. I never sit where the drummers or singing section sit either so in beside the majority of sweetie rustling fans is as safe a place as any at a football game anywhere. Hopefully these idiots will be identified and banned from future games but their idiotic behaviour is isolated away from where the majority sit and it would be a shame if Livi fans are put off because of what happened at Dumbarton. I'm sure the club will want it sorted out and take measures to stop any more such incidents.

I believe the police ejected one of the Livi fans involved in the drunken behaviour. Perhaps the police will also follow up on this incident once they go through cctv footage and get names from Livi fc identifying the ones involved?
