Should field a reversey team..play a 2-4-4 strikers at the back, midifelders ALL upfront.. ( nothing new there ) and defence in the middle..

Schedule may change slightly as Ormond Saints have pulled out. Telford is hopeful that he'll get a team to take their place but waiting to hear back from a couple.
Steve can make it. Daz Keith can't. DCP is waiting to hear from his work before he can confirm either way.

Right lads, I have us down as having 15 boys say they're available.
Paul Kelly - Driving Graham Yorke - Driving Callum McKinven - Driving Stephen Lyon - Driving Wullie McDonald - Driving Callum Savage - Driving Stuart Heggie Ryan Mutter - Not Driving Dave Black - Not Driving Barry Craig - Not Driving Tom Cheeseman - Not Driving Paul Miller - Not Driving Scott Johnston - No Driving Darren O'Neill - Not Driving Charles Taylor - Not Driving Andy Crawford - Not Driving
£90 entry fee so that's £6 each with 15 boys. Heggie posted up for this ages ago so not sure if he'll still be available mind you?
Of the boys who are available, can the drivers let me know if they're driving just so we know how we are for lifts.
The West of Scotland Tartan Army (WESTA) have stepped in for Ormond Saints so everything will run as originally planned.
The venue (Glasgow Green - G40 1HB) is 45 minutes away so given our first KO time is at 12, probably want to aim to be there for 11.15 to give us time to get shifted and warmed up for then. So we'll aim to leave from the Stadium at 10.30am.
A wee reminder of the schedule -
12.00 - OL 12.50 - PSJ 13.40 - Bully Wee United 14.30 - Troon IFC 15.20 - WESTA
There's two groups and the top two from each group go through to contest the semis and final. A rough guess would be that the semi finals will kick off at 4.30pm then the final around 5.15pm so likely be finished for 5.30ish (if we finish in the top two in our group).
We'll likely wear the black kits for this as there will definitely be no clash near enough all day but best to have both there just incase so who has what kit?
Black Kit - Andy Crawford Yellow Kit - Joe Bardell (to pass to someone) Footballs - Dougie Shaw (passing to Wullie) Subs Jackets - 3 in with black kit. 2 unaccounted for. Medibag -

There's also 3 subs jackets in with the black kit. Not sure if that's all of them.

I'd very much like not to drive this time as I think I may have driven two out of the last three larger journeys. The one I missed being spent in McGintys car being sick...

Gents,
To try and get the day wrapped up before 5pm, the kick off times have all been brought forward 15 minutes so our schedule is now -
11.45 - OL 12.35 - PSJ 13.25 - Bully Wee United 14.15 - Troon IFC 15.05 - WESTA
So with that said, we'll now be leaving from the Stadium at 10.15am tomorrow. Remember to bring plenty of water/juice with you as it's a long day and you might want to bring something to munch on incase there's no eating facilities.

From what I remember, the day went something like -
GS 0-0 OL GS 4-1 PSJ (Barry (2) Paul M, Gibb) GS 3-0 Bully Wee Utd (Tom, Paul M, Barry) GS 5-0 Troon IFC (Dave (2), Barry, Steve, OG) GS 5-0 WESTA (Dave, Paul K, Darren O, Tom, Scudge)
GS 1-0 Geordie Munrovers (Dave)
GS 0-0 OL (Lost 2-1 on penalties)
Cracking effort given we were missing 8 boys who have all been regular starters. Had enough chances in both games vs OL to win too but wasn't to be and our penalty luck wasn't there - although DCP must be gutted. Saved two penalties and scored one himself and was still on the losing side!
Hope everyone enjoyed themselves though as that was what the weekend was all about. Cracking to see boys who haven't played much recently - Paul K, Daz O, Mutter, Sav, Bougie & Gibb - all come in and do cracking jobs when asked.
Looking forward to next year already.
If you're friends with Andy Kelly on Facebook, he's fired up 100+ photos of the day - have a wee look :-)
